It's just for writing, was looking at some at CVS, they want a dollar.
I know arfcom like's PSA, But spends upwards of $1,500 on anything from bikes to wallets. Ask about $30 G-shocks, and you get a recommendation for a $7,000 rolex. But is it possible to get a practical suggestion from Arfcom? Pencils. the ultimate arftest. |

Hit up OfficeMax.
Back to school sales, they're almost giving stuff away. |
|
Go to a store that sells pencils...
Buy the pencils... Sharpen when necessary... Hope this helps. |
|
Pencils are the easy part.
The lead to fill them is the problem. |

Construction pencils have thicker lead and dont break as easily... Plus u sharpen them with a knife. U get some mad looks in the middle of a lecture when u pull out the esee izula 2 pencil sharpener.

Ticonderago #2. We but them by the truckoad at work. My boss doesn't do computers and writes with them and leaves them in a box when he wears out the eraser. We might have 25 pounds of pencil in a box each month to take home or do whatever.

He is sold out but this guy sells the best sharpened pencils. Only $40 for one of his master pieces.

Mirado black warriors.
Silky smooth writing. Low cost. Best bang for the buck going. To get someting better you need to step up to the artisan pencils with the rectangular erasers. |
|
I only use lead holders that cost more than you make in a month.

Ticonderoga #2 is the American Classic Pencil.
For about 5 bucks, you can have German precision in the Zebra M-701 mechanical pencil. Stainless steel, and can be used as a field expedient self-defense tool that can make several stabs instead of just one or two with a wooden pencil. Also, it matches the Zebra 701 pen, which can be modded to take Space Pen refills. It's what I carry every day, and never gets a second look at the airport. |

I cannot believe I now know how to send my daughter to school as Tier 1 cursive'r

View Quote The thing is, once you've spent some time with a budget pencil, you quickly find it's limitations. It's really is a matter of buy once, cry once. If you're looking for a reasonable mid-range pencil without getting into "silly money", I'd recommend a Graf von Faber-Castell as a decent entry-level model. Anything less and you're basically wasting your time and money. http://www.amazon.com/Graf-von-Faber-Castell-Perfect-Pencil/dp/B000UTO0U2 |

All you really need to ask is "What pencil does Chuck Norris use?"

If the eraser is rock hard, it will not erase shit and well smudge badly.

I just use the cheap BIC mechanical pencils. They're like $7 at Office Depot for a pack of 24. I hate sharpening pencils.

View Quote Sharpening pencils is a zen thing, you'll never be tier one till you can open a box of #2 virgin pencils and using only your hands and a scripto sharpener, make the finest point ever on it. Never buy presharpened, that Chinese 4 yr old working for 18cents a day isn't going to produce the perfect point. |

You asked a simple question about a mountain bike and got honest answers that would have kept you from cracking your skull on a tree. Ride your Huffy, shoot your Hi Point, and draw nekkid pictures with your cheap fucking pencils. Quit bothering the fine folks in GD with your idiocy.

Pentel drafting pencils - .5mm in the shop, .9mm on the worksite. When eating a couple times a day and sleeping indoors depends, in part, on cutting to a line, you want a good line. Staedtler white erasers because you want the bad lines to go away - completely.

The erasers on the end of cheapo pencils are basically useless. You really do need a separate eraser. |

I have almost a whole box of skillcraft #2 preban pencils I'm saving for my retirement. The real lead pencils are in a different class than these graphite sticks that you can buy now. How said box of pencils from the US Army were transfered into civilian hands I didn't ask, but I have a bill of sale. It's written in pencil too.
