View Quote iJunk Nice video, I hope I am fortunate enough to be able to get into the machine gun game at some point. |

I've had neighbors called on a shootout we were having at our property. Went about the same way

What's the rate of fire on that mg-42? Sounded like that thing really ate through rounds.

Wonderful video. MG-42 rocks.
If you really want to shoot something, you might as well shoot it with an automatic weapon. |

Same EXACT THING here in Oregon Marion County.
Had a friendly MG shoot on my property, deputies came..... saw paperwork.....had some water and drinks and then we handed them the M16 and G-3. They digged it immensely......that we gave them each 6 magazines and they used them up like little kids. |

I want to pull the trigger on a MG-42 at least once before I die.

Had the police called on MG shoot we did too, because MGs are illegal in MN, thankfully the MGs we were shooting were owned by the police, so the police officers just called dispatch and told them what was up.

I never get the police called on me.
Just weird guys with boners

We had a similar interface with some LEOs, except it was a Conservation Agent and Highway Patrolman.
They gave us their cards and asked if we'd call them next time. Fucking JBTs |

I've had neighbors called on a shootout we were having at our property. Went about the same way Crabby neighbor called the hypos on us when we were on my friend's 10 acres of rippled ground around the base of a butte. She was across the highway, and we were a quarter of the way around the hill going the other direction. The officer came over to tell us about the complaint. Two days later. When bringing his FALs over to play. He didn't say he laughed in her face - I'm sure he promised to look into it, but the fact that the gunfire continued until midnight may have been a hint to her. |

We had an mg42 where I worked at an importer. That thing was a hoot to fire. The boss also had the tripod that doubled as the stand up anti aircraft tripod.
When we went to shoots, I would get paid all day to sit at a linker and link ammo. Same thing with the UK59 machine gun. That mg was really nice to fire. |

Hope that officer doesn't get in trouble for being on the video. Shooting is fun but if some pantyhose wearing sissy grabs that video and shows it at a council meeting I guarantee you that the agency will call that cop to the carpet.

I always had the cops called on us when we would shoot MGs. The deputies would show up and we would usually gain an M4 and M16A1 on the line.
I LOVE the M16A1. The M4 was like "Blah, Blah, Blah" when you pull the trigger. The M16a1 was like "FUCKYEAHROCKTHEFUCKONBITCHES!" And then there was the G3. That was like a mother fucking jack hammer. It would rattle your teeth lose and make you smile. |

My father had one and rarely shot it because it was just so damn intense to shoot. Kind of like shooting a Barrett. IIRC, you couldn't burn through many rounds at all before the barrel was ready to melt. But no doubt they put a devastating amount of lead downrange very quickly. |

I joked with a fellow ARFcomer, that when we finally get full auto we are going to invite the local PD over for a BBQ at 1100. "Why 1100 and have them over for a BBQ", he asked. I answered, "There going to come over any ways at noon when start shooting, we might as well have food for them first."
Got to love NH. |

All that money spent on machine guns, and no slo-mo video?
Surely, one of you can afford this: Phantom Flex4K 1000fps @ 4096 x 2304 3000fps @ 1280 x 720 Only $99,000 to $159,900 depending on options. Or, you could get a Go-Pro HERO3 Black and do 720x480 @ 240fps for under $400. Example below: |

O man, that made me want an MG42 bad.
So if the Maxim was invented in 1880, then any Maxims made prior to 1898 aren't technically firearms under the purview of the ATF, right? |

"Hey, you hear that? Maybe if we go over there and tell them somebody called it in, they'll let us shoot a couple."
