Im not sure. Im just going by what Im told. From what I can tell from the pic, it looks like it probably did get tore up and then an infection set in. Im suggesting that that goat be put down. |

Damn, I'm a farmer but never seen anything like that. I'd say put her down, but call in a vet if your buddy wants to save her (might be too late). In the future, keep the alpacas and goats on separate pastures.
Why bother with alpacas anyway? |

Need to call a vet and have a rape kit done... Judging by the picture, we shouldn't rule out that there wasn't multiple assailants. Perhaps simultaneously.... with or without paper plates.

I was born and raised in Queens, NYC and have never owned or seen livestock except at a petting zoo. Even I know that goat should be put down asap.

Meh. Its a goat. They die for all the stupidest reasons, and don't die for even stupider ones.
After looking at the pic, I have a few questions. Did no one notice this is a MALE goat? Think that might have something to do with it? Why is slaughtering for meat even on the table since it appears to be an older goat and its nuts weren't trimmed when it was younger? I've seen a sheep recover from having maggots crawling out of its ass, that goat isn't even hurting yet. Unless its guts were fucked up. Which they probably are, because of what you said started all this. |
