For a lot of us deployed folks, MWR is Morale, Welfare, and Recreation. That's where you can call home, use a computer, use the gym, or watch a movie.
I have no idea of the context you're using. |

As messed up as a situation as it is, I'm glad NASCAR did something to address this.

Since you're from the same state, care to elaborate so I may avoid the same issue?

Bowyer gets docked 50 points, which in essence doesn't do shit. Truex Jr gets booted for something he had nothing to do with, and Gordon still gets fucked. Glad NASCAR did something, but they could have done more to correct it. |

Espn is reporting MWR got penalized 300k too but that is wrong it's 300k per team for a total of 900k. That is a big hit. Also NAPA isn't happy and can pull out of their contract with MWR based on ethics provisions. This will not end well.

and Gordon still gets fucked. View Quote This. IF it all went down like nascar says it did (seems fairly convincing), the #24 got screwed over bigtime. I don't think Vickers was in on it... in fact he was like "WTF?" However, the #55 pitting while the field was taking the green put the #22 into the chase, bumping the #24. Now, I'm no Jeff Gordon fan. But Joey Logano??? aka spoiled brat??? The 22 was 'right place/right time', just happened to benefit from MWR's shenanigans, but at the cost of the #24 team. I wonder what Mr. Hendrick's attorneys are working on right now... |

What the fuck is going on, for those that haven't followed Nascar this season?
(Been watching Gran Prix). Nevermind... Here's the story |

Only fair thing is to say fuck it and include everyone and let the drivers sort it out over the next 10 weeks. |

I agree razorback... this will not end well at all. Nascar has a public relations catastrophe on their hands. That entire race weekend was a trainwreck in slow motion, from a competition standpoint. Kez jumped the last restart for the N'Wide race, no penalty. Carl jumped the last restart of the Cup race, no penalty. Then of course is the MWR fallout, and the unintended consequences thereof. This is just beginning to get ugly |

Creating drama in a dying showcase. There's been much worse and NASCAR looked the other way. Watching anymore is like WWE or a reality show out of Jersey.

Bigtime sponsor contracts are confidential, but a gig like NAPA could easily be worth $80M-$100M factoring in individual car and team sponsorships, event sponsorships, etc. They are one of the (dwindling in numbers) heavy hitters for sure.
Michael is taking a beating right now (rightfully so), but he has brought a metric shit ton of cash into the sport (Aarons is another big one). The actions were blatant, but I'm still a bit surprised nascar dropped the hammer the way they did when you consider all the money on the table. At the end of the day, they (nascar) are running a business for profit. All this sideshow horseshit has the potential to hurt their bottom line |
