I just watched the liberal 2 billion dollar lie get voted out of existence.
MP's in Ottawa just voted 159 to 130 in favor of abolishing it! The Conservative government promised to get rid of it and they did!!! Look out gun shops..I think your sales are gonna go up! |

Quoted: Fucking awesome I guess registrations doesn't always lead to confiscation. Well it did for some owners... The guys who had T97's, Augs, SPAS's among others did get their guns confiscated. But for now we celebrate the first victory of common sense in the last two decades. |
|
What does this mean with regard to restricted rifles?
What now happens to the records? Will they be destroyed? |

Once the bill is finally passed into law, Quebec will immediately seek an injunction from the courts to halt the destruction of the registry data.
Mathieu St-Pierre, a spokesman for Quebec Public Security Minister Robert Dutil, said Quebec has the full intention of taking legal action against the federal government if it does not cough up the data it wants. http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/02/15/conservatives-and-enthusiasts-cheer-the-end-of-the-long-gun-registry/ |

So they still have the restrictions on rifles in place? Still can't take my 458 Socom AR up for bear hunting I assume?

M14 clone. Can those be exported from the US and imported into Canada? Even if you can, why would you want to pay about 3 times the price of an M14S? |

I asked this in the dupe thread just before it got locked...is the Senate More-Or-Less a "Done-Deal" as far as agreeing with this?
|

Guess I'll fill out my PAL application and get that in the works. I've been waiting for this ever since I moved here in 2010.

Good Deal Canada!
Congratulations on a positive win for lawful firearm owners way up way up there! |

Because when I have a choice, I avoid giving my money to the Chinese. Because M14S aren't really well put together, at least the one I handled. Looked like the barrel had been painted with a paint brush and the barrel wasn't indexed right. |

Looked like the barrel had been painted with a paint brush and the barrel wasn't indexed right. If so, they have changed since mine was made. I will take an M14S over an M1A any day of the week and twice on Sunday. |
