The highest mileage vehicle i have ever rode in was a 1988 F150 4WD with the 4.9L and a 4spd.  Had 380,000 miles last time I rode in it, second engine but the original transmission, saw that guy catch on fire one time also and his legal first name was Tater

Restored usually means a frame-off restoration with all new or rebuilt parts.

I think you "refreshed" it, and it looks great. I'm digging the color.

Its typically called a "frame off" or concourse restore, what you are talking about. Restore fits here also.

You claim it's an '89. But what does the title say? Are there layers? Is it a real title?

Looks great!

I really miss my 4x4 87 F150 with the 351W in it.

That was a good truck.

I might try and find another.

Very nice job. I really like the tailgate. Here's my '83 F250, it appears we have similar tastes.

What I'd give to find that exact truck brand new. They really dont make em like that anymore.

If you're serious about it, look in California. There are many of them around, and with absolutely no rust.

My 86 is originally from Southern California and is absolutely rust free.

Lots of good ones in my "post your truck" thread

Some great looking trucks in here. Why they can't make trucks that look so good (and sit so reasonably) today is beyond me.

This thread is almost enough to make me get my old '85 Dodge running. Almost....

Sweet trucks guys!  I really like the old school looks of the 80's F150.  Too bad it's so hard to find one in such good condition...

NICE!  I had an '89 Bronco XLT with the 351.  Rancho's underneath and Alpine subs in the back.  Still my favorite ride.  God that thing would run.  Pulled a loaded two-horse trailer up the mountain to Flagstaff at 70mph....watching the gas needle fall.

Cousin of mine has an extended cab F250 351W truck of that era. I've thought of making him an offer a few times. If it was 4wd I probably would.
