Could not care less, and am a bit disturbed that my wife (otherwise very intelligent, extremely conservative, and practical to a fault) is paying some attention to it.
Not a lot, mind you, but the fact that she is paying any attention to this bothers me... not that it surprises me, because I remember her interest and concern when Diana died (something I also could not care less about, then or now). And every time the subject comes up, I can't help but start singing THIS.

So some guy about 1750 years ago said that he was appointed by God to lead the country, which of course gave him and all of his heirs the right to seize/claim ownership of land, and/or take assets from people, as well as tax the citizens. Anyone that questioned the Royal family would have their head cut off. The British Royal Family is nothing more than the decedents of ruthless thugs and thieves that setup a clever system to bilk the citizens of England.
I hate the whole premise of a Royal Family and I could care less what any of them are doing. It is an insult to humanity that some family exists that thinks and acts like they are above all other men. |
