How long before one of them gets killed?
"Mr. Xtreme, who is dressed in a full superhero costume complete with a helmet, a cape and a bulletproof vest, said that he's tired of seeing people become victims, so he and his crew patrol the streets. The Xtreme Justice League is dedicated to protecting innocents from villains" http://www.10news.com/news/26650555/detail.html |

Why do I have visions of the BatMan impersonators from The Dark Knight in my head?
I'll bet no one on this board can watch the news story w/o at least chucking out loud. |

My Dad rode the city bus to and from work up untill about 8 months ago (retired). There was a woman on the bus that was talking about being a 'Super Hero". She was supposed to go to San Diego for some kind of reunion and calander shoot or something. I guess that even though she is crazy, she was not lying........

I'm glad The Watchmen was an inspirational movie to others than just myself.
ETA:The interview with the guy wearing the "partialy confused" shirt is kind of funny. |

This is what you get when people run out of more effective crime removal options.

Only in Cali!!! There are actually quite a few of them, and they're all over the place. http://i37.servimg.com/u/f37/12/07/70/91/wilhel10.jpg Master Legend had a group of "superheroes" in Orlando. This might be a result of the heat, or unemployment. |

I wonder if these two are part of the league?

If i were going to try and pull off "super hero" i would at least try to come up with a costume that did not make me look like a total fagot.

considering that the police are not obliged to protect people it seems like a perfectly respectable thing for citizens to want to fill that gap and try to protect those that cant protect themselves.
does it take a little crazy? I am sure. Is it an honorable thing to do? In principle I would say yes. |

At least a few people in that area are realizing that they are responsible for their own well being. Perhaps this will change other peoples ideas about self defence also, and the pepper spray and tazer can be exchange for something that JMB would approve of. |
