Not the world's greatest pic but heres my 94 Z28:

Standard LT1 w/ headers, gutted cat, catback, cold air intake, mail order computer tune, etc.  Runs pretty decent, I need a LS1 instead though.

Here's a pic of mine.  Last trip to the drag strip before I sold it to a friend it went 12.8@141 MPH on a 2.8 short time  It was set up for road racing and was a lousy drag car.  The friend I sold it to ripped out all of the RR mods, dropped in a TH400 and even got an episode of Pinks.  It's now running in the high 8's with the same motor/blower setup that was my last configuration.

Here's mine. She is a 2000 B4C (police package) Camaro. Former Texas Highway Patrol car stationed it's 80K mile service on the Dallas turn-pike. Best time on street tires was a 13.01. She's my daily driver so I haven't done much to her, besides exhaust and tires. She currently just hit the 135K mark and still going strong! Enjoy the pic!

This is what she looked like before retirement...

LT4 396 stroker small block
Custom grind cam
ATI D1 intercooled supercharger making 17 psig at 5800 rpm
Custom blower intake
Custom 4" exhaust

The motor would safely spin 7000 rpm. Current owner has made mods appropriate to a dedicated drag car.

Hey thanks for the comments. She still has all B4C options! The only thing that was taken out of her was the lights, radio and sirens. Take it back then left the strobes in the head lights and brake lights, the wires were cut from them. Here's some more quick pics...

so, if i sold mine a while back, can i still play?

here she is:

1980 Camaro Z28 T-Tops
balanced 350
doug thorley tri-Y headers
true dual exhaust and flowmaster super 40's
4.11 gears and posi trac
ladder bars, fully tuned suspension
turbo 350 tranny
edelbrock performer intake
edelbrock 600 (650 maybe, i don't remember) CFM electric choke carb

fun car, wish i still had her around.

drove it 800 miles with the T-Tops off from Butte, MT to Denver, CO and averaged 16 miles to the gallon. I don't have the slightest idea as to how that happened, because i was doing between 3300 and 3500 RPM's the entire way. beautiful car. just wish i had it around to do some body work to it, although it would have been difficult to touch because the paint was original.

The last gen F-Bodies were really impressive cars, it's a damned shame they stopped production on 'em. (The fact that they stopped production just before I had the cash to buy one rather sucks, too)

I love to razz ricers about the LS1/T56 combo's performance and mileage.

Yes, the retainer was in there, but the foam element was down in the intake and really gummed up the old Q-jet. I swear that crap was everywhere.

This one went 9.93 @ 141 a few hours before this pic was taken. (1993 Super Chevy at Maple Grove)
A few years and a few engines later it was running 8.40's @ 158-159.
Street legal of course.
(Notice the license plate on the back ?...  See my avatar ?)

This was my last Camaro...
8.33 @ 165 on this pass...  Street legal.

I've had several 3rd gen cars over the years, but none really worthy of a pass down the track...  mostly just cruisers.

Right now, the only Camaro I can speak of is this one...
Another '70... owned by my younger brother...
I'm doing all the work, while he sends me the parts and money.
Currently just a mild pump-gas 454 with a powerglide and NOS Cheater system.

Here's what it looked like when we bought it...  Parked in front of his '69 Chevelle... a real beast with an Andy Jensen built 555bbc.

I'm guessing its a red six speed with t tops ?

just curious, how much are you asking?
Link Posted: 1/15/2007 10:49:04 AM EDT
[#35]
No, yes, no.
It is like a silver color with a black solid roof. Yes, it is a six speed.

I don't know what I want for it. I have been toying with the idea of selling it, but that is as far as it got. Without even putting any real thought or research into the matter, I guess it would be somewhere around high blue book. The car has very low miles (approx. 19,000, I bought it with approx. 16,000) and is in pristine condition.
I am not a car guy. I would like to be a car guy but don't have the money to get into another hobby. I spend most of my discrentionary income on guns and have since I was a kid. I make a very good living and have a 27" portable TV as another example of what I spend on guns.  In fact, the money that I used to buy this car was supposed to buy a Colt M16 RR but on an impulse I bought the car. I have driven it like three times since I bought it. One of the only times I drove it, I went from Las Vegas to Big Timber Montana where I ordered a Shiloh Sharps rifle at the factory. On the way I bought a suppressor in Utah, a rifle in Montana, stopped at the Custer Battlefield and the Buffalo Bill firearms museum in Cody Wyoming. Drove back through Yellowstone. Totally gun related trip.
If someone is interested, I will be happy to dig up all the details including the price. I can also probably put you in touch with the original owner if I can't answer your questions.

EDIT: I just went to the Kelly Blue Book site and came up with a price of around 15k. High Blue Book is a little over 15, 825. If any 2001 Camero SS rates high Blue Book, it is this one. Would also trade in part or whole for NFA weapons.

It was registered, insured and inspected...   So it was "Legal" by definition.
It had headlights, tailights, brake lights, mufflers, DOT tires, etc...  Just no turn signals.

You can't imagine how annoying it was to drive with that hood on it. I sat so low in the car, it was sometimes easier to look THRU the scoop.

Quoted:

The Blue Camaro when it was 'done' ran 9.50's on the motor and 8.40's on a NOS plate system.
The Red Camaro was ALL motor. 632 cubic inches to be exact. Never got the nitrous on that car. It was put on a chassis dyno by the guy I sold it to... and made 881hp at the rear wheels exactly the way I sold it to him.
8-second street legal cars are not all that uncommon anymore.

The Black Chevelle pictured above is a low-9 sec car.
Here's a video of it on a 1/8th mile track...  5.80@119mph.

I've been shopping around trying to figure out what i want to spend the dough on.  Could use a good ruger 10/22 and deck it out.  After all Ammo is cheap and easy to stock up on for that.

I used to wash my car every 3 days and wipe it down every day. Had to detail the engine, repaint the drums and calipers regularly, touch up black trim, etc.

I don't have the time any more but I keep it as clean as possible.
