Wasn’t it confirmed that the M17/M18 rear sight plate works with Danish slide?

Quoted: I asked @coregon about that barrel and unfortunately it is a compact length barrel not a carry length barrel, won't work. So the barrel and sights seem to be the hard parts to find. View Quote As CAR posted, the Compact and Carry P320s use the same slide and barrel length (3.9”). The difference is that the Carry has a Fullsize grip length (17-round mags) and the Compact has a shorter grip (15-round mags) |

From what I read the US Mil request a six oclock hold on the M17/M18 sights. So they use a different setup than the standard line. What I have been reading is that a 6 is what Sig uses on their X-Carry. |

I know these are not representative of all the pistols out there, but it is what I have personally seen myself. |

Quoted: For those wondering, My P320 Carry threaded barrel fit nicely in the Danish slide purchased from Osage County Guns. No movement, no difficulty going into battery. This barrel came from a standard P320 Carry Slide bought back in October 2016. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/1177/IMG_6481-1624980.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/1177/IMG_6480-1624979.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/1177/IMG_6482-1624978.jpg This was a pleasant surprise since I was led to believe that only the newer X-Carry barrels would fit. Just took my (still sightless) Danish X-Carry clone out and put 50 more rounds through it. Flawless function and it has smoothed out nicely.
What is truly amazing is that I put this pistol together using all new in the bag parts with absolutely no fitting and it works perfectly. You could not do that 40 years ago, there is something to be said for modern manufacturing techniques and processes. |

I got a barrel today, so progress is being made .. albeit slowly.
Does anyone have a link to the CORRECT rear sight & plate? I thought I bought the right one, and now I have to eat shipping and a 10% restocking fee. |

I may have an extra new rear night sight (I accidently bought two) for this that I can sell later in the week if you want it. |

@CAR what is the part number for the rear sight plate and anyone other than Sig have them?
I also received my barrel today and a few small parts. Down to the FCU and rear sight plate setup. |

View Quote I have been looking all over the web for the sight plate and I can not find anyone who has one in stock right now, SIG may be the only source currently and they are out. The part number the SIG rep gave for the plate was 13067018-R, I have not confirmed that this is correct though. The SIG CS rep seemed very surprised that I had a Danish slide and asked where I got it from. |

@Postal0311 do you have a link to the rear site plate you are using or did it come off a complete slide?

If you’re unable to find the right cover plate that could be one solution that would still be clone correct, if nothing else |

View Quote Actually, I was thinking of the Colt Government Model when I wrote this. I have owned (and still own) many Colt M1911s over the years. There are many cases where parts are not interchangeable without a great amount of fitting, especially in the barrel/slide and grip and thumb safeties and sometimes sear and disconnector. I currently own two 1986 Colt Combat Elites, the tolerances are so disparate between the two that you cannot swap the barrel and slide assemblies or combinations of the between the two pistols and have a properly functioning pistol. In fact, with one slide on the other pistol, you cannot even engage the thumb safety as it hits the front of the slide notch. Just about every Colt Government model I own show evidence of a large amount of hand fitting and filing done during assembly. This may have been reduced in recent years as Colt has invested in CNC machines. |

Damn it I had to see this thread right when I was thinking about selling my Danish slide and rear sight assembly to fund a new project.

Anyone looking for the rear sight assembly, this is the part numbers needed below.
Rear Sight: 1302145-08-R Sight Plate / Cover: 1302087-R Screws: 1302528-R (NOTE, These are NOT sold as a set with 2 screws, you will need to order 2 of these for a pair). Also just want to add that OsageCountyGuns has all the parts mentioned above available in a kit for like $150 I believe but do yourself a favor and get these directly from Sig, if memory serves me right you will save over $90 compared to Osage wanting $150 for everything (This price from them is also NOT even including the front sight. |
