So far I have ordered the slide and grip frame. Osage County Guns ships very fast as my order is already on the way via FedEx and will be here Tuesday.

The next parts to track down seem to be as followed:

  • Rear sight and plate like posted above but want confirmation that it will fit

  • Barrels seem impossible to find and are not listed on Sigs website. Does anyone know of one for sale?

  • Slide internals. Are there any differences for the X series slides?

  • FCU. May wait till the new one that they will be selling as a stand alone product is out

In the end this will be nice next to my decommissioned M17 and regular M18.

Greeting Jake cutter

FCU:  before DK-Prof ordered the 80% one, I created a thread to help him find a complete FCU as fast as possible:

https://www.ar15.com/forums/Handguns/Where-to-buy-stand-alone-complete-FCU-for-P320-this-week-/14-196760/

There is an excellent, money-saving suggestion in that thread you may want to consider (thanks 64tinc!).

“ Posted: Today 1:57:50 PM EDT Report
I think Proven arms had complete full size for $475 this week.  Sell the complete upper for 325 and get a magazine fcu grip module for 150.”

By the same token, Sig recently (pre-panic) sold off a ton of CPO (certified period-owned) P320s for around $385.  All handguns are hard to find now.  But cannibalizing an existing 320 might save you a few $$.

RE barrels: I believe an ordinary p320 compact barrel will fit this slide.

Could you post a photo or two of your Danish build in this thread as it progresses?

Where did you get the mag well and how does it attach to the grip out of curiosity?

Also do they work with the 17 round mags?

Mine is missing the grip tape, magwell:

Where are you guys sourcing the other parts, ie barrel and sights?

Got the mag well the same place I got the slide.

17 round mag feels like it comes just shy of working.  Maybe with a different baseplate it would.

Mag well has a lug in the front and is held on by a screw that goes through the lanyard hole.

SIG was so kind as to have mine come pre-scratched.

Where did you find the rear sight/cover plate ?

I bought it from a website.

I see two different part numbers for the SIG flat trigger, is there a difference between them?

Also, which height front sight is used?  I read that the M18 uses a different height than the rest of the line.  Presumably, this one uses the normal height one.

The more expensive one is the Legion.

I'm not talking about the skeletal one.  There is the flat trigger, and the flat trigger black oxide.  But the description for the flat trigger is that it is black oxide.

I believe this is the correct trigger & the one that will fit DK’s gun:

Attachment Attached File

Other parts he has / will get soon:

- Slide
- Coyote X-grip frame
- rear sight (ordered)
- FCU (80 percent)
- LPK (will get)
- mag well (ordered)
- slide parts with regular 320 barrel (will get)

Other than the grip tape, correct front sight, and the exact X barrel, is there anything he is still missing?

Just to confirm that the slide is an “X” slide or a regular profile slide? I think that will determine which barrel is needed.

Wnen I asked @coregon he said I needed an X barrel which is different than a standard barrel. So if you find a 3.9 barrel, make sure it's an X and not just a standard. Down side is the X barrel isn't listed on Sigs website and I haven't found them for sale by themselves. I have been looking for a complete X carry to strip but no luck there.

I have both (see page 1); I will swap them around tonight & see if they interchange & feed / eject dummy rounds.

UPDATE:  @coregon is right:  NOT INTERCHANGEABLE!  (this was a surprise to me )

Here is an Xcarry slide (coyote brown) with a regular P320 Xseries barrel installed:  it won’t go into battery:

Looks like the hood is just a smidge too wide on a regular P320 barrel.

DK-Prof will probably need an actual Xcarry barrel; a telephone call to Sig seems in order now.

Sorry about the jibber-jabber language.

Even though I do not speak the language I understood it loud and clear:

“Only the Sig met our standards, it was quite clear”

Camera pans over to non-Sig shooters:
“God this thing feels like a bloody 38x89mm piece of wood.”

“This pistol is like trying to stuff a goose in a fucking drawer.”

The X-Carry barrel is the one to use with the Danish slide. I have purchased a Danish slide myself, here is the barrel I am using in it, PN# 1302534-R  Barrel, 320XC-9 DLC, 7.67 Lock Face, Non-PT.

https://www.sigsauer.com/store/barrel-p320xc-9-dlc.html

Unfortunately, I have purchased the same rear sight and cover that you did and it seems to be for a Romeo sight, we need the cover for Delta Point cut. I will have to return it when it arrives. I think the rear sight cover that is used on the M-17 and M-18 civilian models and and the newer X-Carry compacts is the correct cover.

He is not allowed to ship that barrel til he verifies it works in a M18

Not that I was wanting it, just wanted to know for future reference.

I cannot wait to see this build done! How the progress on the FCU?

Sorry if I caused you to buy the wrong sights.  At least yours will be easier to return since you now know to not open the package.

You didn't cause me to buy the wrong sights, If I would have found this thread before today, you would have saved me.

I found my mag well funnel on E-Bay, it is a genuine SIG part that someone removed from their pistol. I just need the correct sights for my pistol to complete it, SIG is sold out right now, but they will have them back in stock at some point.

I will post a photo of my pistol when it is done (except for the sights probably), I am still waiting for the recoil spring and FCU to arrive.

I asked @coregon about that barrel and unfortunately it is a compact length barrel not a carry length barrel, won't work. So the barrel and sights seem to be the hard parts to find.

I just need to find a sight pusher to use and I'll be done with mine. (Minus the grip tape)

I feel pretty meh about the flat trigger.  I can see why other people would go nuts about it, but the standard was just fine to me.  The Carry grip on the other hand makes the M17/18 grip feel like garbage.

I'll probably drop the mag well later so I could use the 17 round mag.

I think I may have found the correct rear sight cover for the Danish slide, I will post the part number and where to order when it comes in and I confirm it fits. The front sight should be an 8, same number as the rear.
