Predicting thundersnow tonight, which is cool, sort of.  Was in it once in an ice storm where just the curvature of the pavement made your car slide to the curb from wind at a dead stop.

Windy af here.  Bunch of snow.  Pretty much tired of winter already.

Not yet....

Gale warnings, and the big pond is all frothed up so far.
If it doesn't fizz out over the lake, the meat headed Citiot dipshits are calling for 8"+ tomorrow and hyping it for all they are worth, as usual.

Pretty much nothing shocking.
We get worse weekly, every year. The Citiot Twats inland, that don't bear the brunt, thrive on the drama though.

It's late fall and the Mantatu is at war...Bring it.

I work 3rd shift but not tonight
I took a little drive around town and decided to call in "snowed in"
just couldn't see driving 40 miles in a blizzard just to go to work.

we've got 12" I'd guess, hard to tell the way the wind is blowing
just around town I saw 3'-4' drifts on main street
I'm 20 miutes south of Quad Cities.
my cousin 45 miles north of here said he had 15" 4 hours ago

Holy shit!

Same system is camped out up here.....

Nothing but big, FAT, lake effect flakes, and the usual 20-30mph wind off the pond.
The lake is no doubt, weakening the system as it comes ashore.

I live in northern Illinois, and we are getting slammed. I walked around in it for alittle bit, and the wind almost knocked me down a couple times. Trees are all bent over, powerlines are down in some areas, the winds are howling relentlessly. Its really something else!

It's invigorating.

You ain't got no point of reference Squid.

The Mahntitou is just winding up the annual war, and those precious little nancy's that havn't dealt with his hate, run home screaming for Mommy or hide inside, when he gets wound up and serious.

The Navy, as fucked up and disgusting as they are, wont let ya freeze. Relax.
The cold, is a wonderful tool to seperate the trash from the gold however.
Embrace the shit. Defy the Mahntitu and the Squidly cunts that would use it against you.

"Cold" is relative, and you will never be "Cold" at Great lakes....don't let them fool you.

If ya need anything in Squidly camp, holler.
Ya got Jarhead support just over the pond.

IM inbound.

Great lakes is going to be terrible this time of year. The other thing that is going to happen is your whole "ship" meaning barracks is going to be sick by the first week. Those were some terrible memories but it did go fast!

Always smart to get drunk while in a potential emergency. Good decisions are made. Maybe while Cyber Monday shopping, you should get a generator and a propane heater you can use indoors? People depending upon anyone but themselves these days are fked. It's just a matter of time before long term power outage, gas shutdown. I have a generator that will run my whole home, extra fuel, extra propane, two propane heaters and I'm still under prepared. Let this be a wake-up call for you.

I kind of like the idea you lead in with the holiday. It would make taking time off work easier.
It was Thursday in MI this year. Gave me 2 days of firearm deer. Whoopie.

What snow??  We have had rain off an on most of the day!  Read this evening that we are expecting only 11% chance of a normal snow fall this winter.  We are already over 15" below normal for this time of the year!

Interesting fact is, precipitation is actually a zero sum game, more or less. If an area gets a lot of extra precip, somewhere else has to get less, because there's about the same amount of solar energy to evaporate the water. Given sun cycles, etc.
