I'm sitting here in the dark because I have no power. Roads are shit, passed at least 6 cars in the ditch on my way home from work.

Anyone else getting hit by this storm?

I’m 20 miles east of Madison and all I heard about the last few days was we were going to get hammered. Not. A. Damn. Snowflake. (Except the living breathing ones from Dane County)

Kansas City got it earlier today.

It wasn't what I would call a 'blizzard' here but it's more snow than we have gotten in 5+ years.

I am sure much french toast will be consumed in the morning.

Sorry man. We were forecast to get a couple inches of it here, but we didn't get shit.

Worked out good for me, because I was invited to a friends for some kick ass food! Made up for the shit I ate on Thanksgiving.

Not good time to be out. My friend lived in Chicago for many years and got into a serious car wreck, she survived, but she will walk with a serious limp for the rest of her life.

In the 5 years since I moved from KC, they've gotten hit with more snow than Des Moines every year.

Before I moved here, I loved coming up to visit family because they had snow.

What snow?? We have had rain off an on most of the day!

Read this evening that we are expecting only 11% chance of a normal snow fall this winter. We are already over 15" below normal for this time of the year!

Getting nailed by the storm as well. We still have power, made sure the genny runs and also made sure the snow thrower is good to go. Checked the kerosene heater and and the propane heaters too. Midwest doesn’t count for storms because news media is on the east coast. This shit is just another day where we live. If this was New York it would be the storm of the century.
