This is a strange thread. I read your initial post and was under the impressien that you got rolled up because you had worked for DM and had some of the unaltered DM kits. Now I'm understanding from subsequent posts that you had modified the "traps" making them functional baffles and you also had multiple unregistered full auto weapons? Is that true? If so you got off really easy. I'm not saying I like the law but it's been pretty clear, for a long time, that drilled traps are suppressor components and fall under the NFA. As for the MGs….well….again, you dodged the bullet. Sounds to me that the AUSA was taking easy and basically slapping your wrists. FWIW I had 3 DM kits that were assembled into F1 cans and then subsequently sent off to ECCO for a re-fit. If the ATF shows up at my door because I bought the kits 6 years ago without a warrant I'll politely tell them to leave the property and close the door. I'll then lawyer up. Talking to any LE agent thats conducting an investigation is silly, especially if you're being investigated. Bro, I feel for you as this will echo in your life for a while but honestly sounds to me like you fucked up. |

Its been a while but the last guy I knew to do fed time for MGs was moving major weight for some cartel Mexicans and they had him plea out to an MG charge and he did I think 18 months or 2 years in. I could be off on the timeframe because while he was out on bond he got hemmed up on completely different state charges that he just got out on. |

Plus you'll never have to go groveling to strangers for a gofundme or some shit because you tried to skirt the law and now you need the charitable interwebs to bail you out for making a series of bad life choices as you do a Mel Gibson "FrEeDoM!!1!1" moment. It's NOT really a joke. They had all of our private messages from the form1forums with passwords ect. I'm guessing they hacked the bulletin board before they had it shut down. Did you just put pistol braces in the same class as solvent traps? Even with the proposed AFT 4999 fuckery, many pistol braces are still legal. A lot of people go up to the line, and try to push the forward while the AFT tries to push the line back. But OP went sprinting way past the line. Unregistered modified solvent traps, Uzis and MP5 (in Illinois no less) will get you hemmed up with no wiggle room. That is a lot different then your only crime being that you have an FRT and Shockwave blade on you AR. |
