The one POSSIBLE testimony I can think of, which "allowed" ATF to deal with DM solvent traps as silencers is - The OP stating that the company stated aims in training and research / development was "build a better silencer" and no research / development on trapping solvents. This would satisfy the "designed" and "intended" componant of silencer definition per the GCA. It might affect owners of DM solvent traps if they were "designed" to be silencers. |

There are plenty of tubes that meet the requirements but actual pistol braces not so much. |
