Something similar was asked on ELI5 some time ago, and I think the consensus was that if you and your partner are monogamous, and neither of you has come up positive in the past (you have to show symptoms of the virus, there isn't a test for it)
Basically, it is very very difficult to get an STD if you aren't sexually active with people that have been exposed to it.
