I'm aware. However, the photo shows a knockoff of a NAR CAT, not a TacMed Solutions SOFTT-W.

Yup, that’s the correct one, though if it's fake, time to trash it. No skin off my back, a buddy gave it to me a while ago and I didn't know better. I appreciate it.

There are a ton of fakes out there. I've seen some REALLLLYYY good fakes too.

At the end of the day, there are only a few reputable dealers I go through for medical supplies. There are more CAT fakes than SOFTT-W clones, just due to the nature of plastic being cheaper.

real vs fake CAT pdf file

This is a pretty good tutorial on how to ID fakes. However these people are good and adapt so the best thing is to buy only from trusted sources like North American Rescue, Rescue Essentials or Chinook Medical (No affiliation to any of these companies). Never by tourniquet's off of Amazon or ebay.

I always order direct, or from Chinook & Eleven10.

Chinook also takes HSA cards, so they are my go to.

I got my ass handed to me but I did only have a 5rd mag

Stupid rule at this range doesn't allow loaded holstered guns. Hence my loading after I draw.

-Camelbak 3L

-LBT IFAK pouch with ATS insert
-HSGI universal mag pouches

The rig has zippered openings along the top, maps and FMP are tucked in there.
I was running an HSGI Warlord V4B prior but after using that for a few years and being motorized I was wanting something front-opening.

Did up my own "cabbage patch" cover for my helmet.  I remeber as a kid seeing pictures of my dad in Panama with the 7th ID.  Always though those covers looked pretty cool and seemed to do a good job.  I used a MARPAT top I found that dates back to when I went to boot camp in 2003.  It was probably one of my first uniforms.  Still had the little iron on name tag in the collar.

I love the old web gear.
Still have mine .
Even managed to get a Vietnam Quick Release Buckle somewhere .

When I had to turn in my TA50 I bought new stuff and kept my old ones.

I get attached to stupid stuff sometimes.

I can see it adding a lot of weight.  I'll have to ask my dad I'm sure they got rained on quite a bit in Panama.

Now that's nice.

If you use 330d, 500d Cordura or Multicam Omega Mesh for the strips, they do not absorb water, it just runs off.  Mine, by using 500d Cordura with the Durable Water Resistant polyurethane coating on the back, there is nothing to absorb water.  Just shake it off then air dry.
