What type of buttstock is this? and why is it so rare? |

Another question. Is it possible to install Tall sights on a metric FAL? and is does Ironwood make the early buttstocks that dont attach by the furrel? (metric)

It's a bit of a frankenrifle right now with the metric lower on the L1A1 upper but I like it just fine and it shoots well enough! http://www.apexgunsmithing.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=104&g2_serialNumber=2 I have thought about doing that with mine. What lower did you use? Thanks, CS |

IIRC the wood used by the Israelis was either gopher or chitum.
ETA- looks like it is actually beech. |

Bill Springfield did a trigger job on it and she shoots even better than before!

Standard DSA STG-58, nothing special (except that I wanted one for a decade and have one and she's MINE) posing with her Romanian friend. :) (Romy G, wire folder, hand-rolled Tapco flat. 922r compliant, etc.) |

Great looking Australian L1A1. We only got a few of those imported before the ban, they run some $7000 now.

It's a Beglian BGS Type A lower/stock on an Entreprise Type I BGS marked upper. Should be getting the money for the barrel and build tools in the next month or so. I already want another one! (This is my first) That one of the Enterprise group buy lowers? How is it? I'm still waiting on mine. |

The BGS markings and serial number are pretty lightly engraved, but otherwise, everything has fit good. The top cover is pretty tight (is it supposed to be?). Only potential problem is the barrel not timing correctly, but I don't know because I don't have one yet. Finish is good, no pinholes anywhere, and the feedramps look good to me. I think I was one of the lucky few to get a good receiver. |

G-,
Very nice. The SA ammo, I am down to two sealed and 3/4 of a pack on stripper clips––––sure miss those days. After that I will be into my last three cases of Argy (the good Argy that came in sealed up and not floor pickings). |
|
|
Not shown, cause I don't want to slip on everyone's tears are two unopened cases!!!

Yours looks like it is around 18'' or so before the muzzle brake. I think you have a stg brake that extends back covering some of the barrel? By comparison of the 2 photos your barrel looks 20 inches or so total with the brake. If I am totally wrong sorry for the post. Just trying to help |
