Using Beretta's measurement of time next week means 17 years from now.

Response I got today from Beretta via their FB page was that they were still conducting "final "validation" tests...we will start manufacturing consumer models soon".   Sounds like they won't be making the 60-90 day shipping window for the ARX.

I am not sure what to believe, they said they had a warehouse full of them ready to go in May when the big unvieling happened!

I was really hoping this rifle would hit the market when Beretta said it would.  Being a left eye dominant shooter, this rifle really appeals to me.  I will have some scratch saved up by the end of the year.  I may have to go with a Tavor if the ARX 100 hasn't made to market yet.

Well, that's fucking stupid.  It's only slightly less stupid if it's an option, and not mandatory and baked into the base price.

They're already partway there... changing the safety and other controls, shortening the handguard, changed the sights.  Probably making a heavier, 1:9 barrel profile as we speak, along with an extra-length non folding stock.  Maybe redoing the plastic in blue or something.

It was the .22 version, there are no ARX100's in the wild yet, outside of some gun writer's hands.

I will still throw the BS Flag unless they have transfered some directly from Beretta to Gun Writers who are doing a review.  Where was this shop located at?

Oh boy. There's certainly no shortage of people wanting to make a 6 pound weapon into a 9 pound weapon. I know its pretty rad until you have to sling it over your shoulder and carry it for a day.

It gets even more "rad" when something goes wrong & a bunch of dependent equipment stops working.  Redundancy isn't always a bad thing.

He did not illistrate the ambidextrous bolt charging handle. Any thoughts that this feature has been deleted? Hard to see him forgetting to since that is one of the gun's most unique features.

Generally speaking, the firearms industry is long on promises, although I think the IWI-US Tavor release was pretty much on time.

I'm actually hoping the delay is due to Beretta modding the original design some.  An adjustable gas block, removable grip (or at least cut the "AR notch") would be welcome improvements, but the gun is still GTG in its current trim.  Would like to know why they shortened the -100 HG compared to the -160.

ETA: Wonder if the rumors about an ARX-200 are true?

Exactly.  He didn't promise "2 weeks" & then pull some OPSEC crap.  Stuff happened along the way, & he kept all us consumers apprised of the situation.  It came out when he said it would be ready.

I really didn't expect the -100 to be released when it was promised.  That's just the way it goes in the mfg biz.  But I digress - do let us know when Beretta gets back to you with an update.

I have the .22 version mounting the same sights. In my opinion, they are a novelty and not a sufficient substitue for traditional iron sights. I'll be removing them from my .223 when I buy it.

meh they are just intended to be emergency back up sights for irons. I would prefer they didnt ship with them and save the $20.

I'll prob. get both, but if I was going to spend money now its on the SIG. Its a bit different and will be cheaper to shoot. Plus the Beretta will eventually be closer to $1700 and there a few things about it I am sure the aftermarket will fix, so I'll just let that happen first.
