For those who have suppressed them any issues other than being kinda gassy ?

THE BAD ... - The charging handle is very small, and you'll scrape your hand on the brass deflector every time you rack the gun. - The gun "feels" cheap. Obviously this is really subjective. THE GOOD ... + For $900 this is a very nice rifle. They include a nice soft case, sling, sight tool, weird crappy plastic BUIS, STEEL 30rd PB mag. + The ARX is HIGHLY innovative. I'm right handed, but appreciate the ease of converting it ... completely including ejection ... to the "wrong side". I'm not sure why these haven't sold really well at the sub-$1000 price point. They're innovative piston drive guns from a very reputable manufacturer. I can only guess they're not more popular because: A) They're not an AR-15; B) They're not a $500 AR-15; C) They feel a little toy-like. My summary ... HECK YES these are worth $900. Remember, it wasn't that long ago when a rack grade Colt 6920 was over $1000. $900 for an innovative Beretta with a bunch of FUNCTIONAL swag is a no-brainer. |
|
|
I feel the same. It will never replace my go to AR, or my backup AR.
It is a cleverly designed piston rifle with lots of features, by a major manufacturer, in a caliber I have and uses mags I have, for under a grand. I'm right handed, but I moved the charging handle over to the right side so it wouldn't get caught on anything and would be on the same side as my AK. The charging handle extension is a must. I'm seriously tempted to get the FDE version, due to the discontinuation rumors and better trigger. |

View Quote I think the main issue is inertia. They released late, and at $1700? They went nowhere. There's no word of mouth anymore, and the $900 price seems more like a close-out than a new retail. They're finally at a good price and Beretta presents them as if they're discontinued or nearly so. They spent a lot of money to bring the rifle to life, they need to give it a second chance at the new price and see how it goes. |

I couldn't tell any difference in the trigger. |

View Quote The price of extra parts and their availability. Proprietary parts. And the current worrry of “will it soon be discontinued”. Being discontinued worries me the most. I got screwed by Sig with the 556 Classic when they discontinued it. If anything breaks on it, all I have left is a parts gun. What fun is that? |

Went ahead and ordered a FDE ARX100 form Sportsman Outdoor Super Store. This place is a bad influence. They are on sale for $999 and I really wanted a FDE one over the black $878 deal at academy.

We need the $878 ARX 100 Pistol w/SB brace !!!!

Got to play with my FDE ARX100 yesterday. Still waiting on my Botch SBR. Im really liking the ergonomics actually on this rifle. Cant wait to shoot it. If I end up liking it as much as I think I will I might need to pickup one more while the price is right.

I don’t have another ARX to compare it too but it’s a 2 stage. Not terrible. Clean break.

My Botch SBR shipped today at exactly 3 weeks from order time. Pretty happy with purchase for $899. Might get another just to have a spare short barrel.

I love this thing to the point I'm thinking of a second ARX in FDE to put it on. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/239279/0621182125-583641.jpg Then there's what I've settled on. Ta31F-G in The factory Ta51 mount. Got it for my Colt a4, but had troubles with eye relief with the a2 stock. With the shorter stock of the ARX, I'm in love. Could use a smidge thicker mount to clear the factory BUIS. Works well though. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/239279/0621182118-583650.jpg Also tried a scope. Yeah, that was stupid. View Quote I took the factory sights off a long time ago and tried out the Magpul Pro sights, but I found out that the front sight would fold about half way down while firing. So, I am currently not using any BUIS on my ARX. |
|

I tried about five different BUIS', including the much vaunted LPA flip ups. CZ scorpion sights were too low for me, the factory are just crazy high, and everything else falls in between, mostly AR height sights. I have finally settled on Troy micros. They seem to be the correct height.

Troy Micros are the way that I would go if they would sell them in a combination that I liked.

I'm a big fan of H&K type drumslike on a Hk91. Won't work here though. Thought about.Matech rear as I really like them, but I don't know what to put up front though.
My only real complaint with the ARX is the lack of a fixed front sight. I prefer a fixed front on a regular Ar as well, one less thing to loose. Never have been able to get on the "bolt everything on a rail" bandwagon. Course I still had an a2 in the army & optics were for snipers. So I'll never be comfortable running no irons at all. |
