Stand by for no further updates quoted the Beretta Spokesperson. However they were willing to say that Beretta will announce their new trademark which will be "We are Beretta and we hate you unless you are a $20,000 shotgun buyer." HK has now announced a law suit against Beretta for trademark infringement.

That's a little unfair to Beretta considering how they've been releasing lots of new pistol models over the past few years, not to mention some great field shotguns and even a 3-gun shotgun.

Naa, don't thinking being unfair to Beretta just using satire since Beretta was the one saying back in May that the ARX was in the warehouses and ready to ship. In addition Beretta reps have stated in one coming out anyday now for the past 6 months. Of course this may just be part of their marketing strategy since I have picked up a PX4 SD and a ARX-160 .22 in the past month while still waiting for the ARX-100 that I have on order since May (when they first released the MSRP and let dealers start submitting orders) to show up.

Is anyone really that surprised by the delay? I can't think of a single rifle introduced in the last 10 years that has not been delayed. The XCR, ACR, Tavor, amongst others have all had delays from when they were first expected. Its frustrating, but its also on par with the course.

I guess it is a fairly safe assumption that we will hear or see nothing new from Beretta on this rifle until Shot Show?

It's looking that way.

I dont get why its frustrating. The rifle will be available when its available. There has been no official release of a date from the manf. They haven't taken a cent from dealers or customers. At the end of the day its going to be a toy for the majority of its users.

Disagree with the comment of "no official release date from the manf." Beretta Reps have stated in numerous gun publications, NRA Show, Social Media, emails, etc of various release dates (June: in the warehouse now, Release in Sep 2013, Release in 4th QTR, etc etc). That is the reason of the frustration.

Please show me a primary source citation besides the initial video 2 ish years ago. A sales rep saying "We hope to get them out by XX date" Does not mean that is the date and at the end of the day it really doesnt matter. The guns will get here when they get here. The same shit happens with every gun release, (well except with Ruger, they dont announce anything till its already at the distributors), The tavor was first hinted at in 2010, look when we actually got it,

Probably get an update from SHOT '14. If anything, perhaps they have pushed back the release in order to implement updates, revisions, or refine designs &/or processes. Hurried products tend to have more bugs, so I say release it when its ready.

Here is the direct quote from the May 2013 Beretta Press Release that is on their website: "Find the new ARX100 at your local Beretta dealer or in your favorite big name sporting goods store later this summer." Also the June 2013 Guns & Ammo Article on the ARX-100, page 53 which stated that "Beretta waited till guns were in the warehouse to make the announcement at the NRA Show". In addition have had at least 3 different email/facebook exchanges with Beretta on their Official Facebook page where they mentioned the reasons for the delay being based on "BATFE complianace/Acceptance testing" in Mar 2013, Jul 2013 & Oct 2013. Granted those were only from Beretta Social Media team but since it was Beretta's FB page which is their "public face", I tend to figure they are speaking for Beretta.

Waiting patiently here...............my bonus is either going to buy one of these or a Tavor

I keep holding off, waiting to putt his in my hands before committing to an ARX or Tavor, but unless Beretta has good news at the Shot Show, IWI will win by default.

I kinda feel the same

I like the idea of a quick change barrel but every time someone comes up with a gun that has one it's really expensive to buy extra barrels in other calibers.
The AR 15 might not have a quick change barrel but you can buy a spare barreled upper w/o bolt or charging handle and just switch uppers quickly for the same or sometimes
less than some of these ne quick change barreled rifles.

Just saying.

I already have the Tavor and love it, FWIW, so my next "big" gun purchase will be the ARX-100, the 9mm Tavor, or the 9mm AUG. The first one to shut up and take my money will be it, so it's looking like it may actually be the 9mm AUG.

The ARX is at the very top of my very short "short list," but the world won't end if it isn't the very next one crossed off the list.

Yep. As enticing as each "new sexy beast" is, it is honestly hard to beat the value and versatility of the good ol' AR.

If I didn't already have a mess of ARs lying around, I probably wouldn't give the ARX (or many others) a second glance if I'm being honest.

I think that's true for a lot of us. Rifles like the Tavor, ARX, ACR, XCR, etc. aren't for people purchasing their first EBR. They're for guys who have been around the AR/AK block, have disposable income, and want to try something new and nifty. That's why I always bristle at the "it doesn't do anything better than my $700 AR, so why buy it?" comments. If your only need is for a rifle that puts lead downrange, then that $700 AR isn't any better than a $150 Hi-Point carbine. We are willing to pay a premium for little niceties like true ambidexterity, better ergonomics, etc., but there's also a big component of "because it's cool and I want it."

Need...ARX...

The ARX honestly feels better in my hands than any other EBR I've ever held.

I am expecting the same thing as last years Shot Show, they will say "they will be shipping in a few months!".
cyclone  [Team Member]
Yeah, I cant quite make up my mind, but the Tavor and ARX-100 are the two I will choose from...........

Hasn't Beretta been saying they'll produce this for years now? Any word on price? I'm guessing it will be similarly priced to the ACR and XCR
vellnueve  [Team Member]
Should be somewhat cheaper than the ACR, but definitely still more than any DI AR.

MSRP is $1,950.00
