That's my question too...can't find a MC Operator locally.

Honestly, it seems to me like most of the 1911 companies build different models at different times. When they do, they ship out whatever back orders they may have and then probably sell what's left to distributors (if they use them, and Springfield definitely does). If this is the case, shortly after they build a batch of whatever model, in this case, MC Operators, Springfield will be out of them and the entire batch will be in the hands of distributors and dealers. Dealers who did not get them direct from Springfield will get whatever remaining guns there are from distributors. They usually do not last long, because dealers know this will be the only time for months they will have a chance to get a particular model. At this point, dealers will have whatever remains of the batch. When those dealers sell out, no one will see anymore until Springfield makes another batch.
In times like these when most people are out of MC Operators, the only chance of finding one will be locating a dealer who hasn't sold all theirs yet. Before you ask, we're all out! For the record, I'm not industry insider, but this seems to be how all the 1911 companies we deal with work, Kimber (who do not use distributors), Colt (who does), and Springfield. Sig and S&W usually aren't as hard to get, but they also aren't as popular so far as we have seen. These are really the only standard production 1911 companies we deal with. I've got more pictures to take, just have to get the camera out and snap them. Some new Springfield's and Kimbers have come in, as well as a new and used Wilson. |

Before you Delete this. I work for Gun Gallery and this is a gun gallery 1911. Nighthawk GRP recon with Ti Blue finish and Hard Chrome accents similar to that of the lady hawk. AWESOME!!! the finish had a certain texture to it. not smooth kinda grippy.

Some new pictures of a Used NightHawk GRP Recon we have sitting at the shop Frankly at 1799.95 I'm surprised it's sat here as long as it has. Some holster wear and knicks are visible but it's hard to get this high of a quality 1911 with a light for this price.

Here is a NightHawk Custom 1911 and what a beauty! It's a Predator Slide with an Enforcer Frame. As far as I can see the whole thing has been treated with DiamondBlack Which is IMHO such an Awesome finish. You can really Feel how this 1911 fits well together and I believe the DiamondBlack really enhances the way the frame to slide fit feels with racking the slide it really feels as though it rides on Ball Bearings. I was unable to find any real signs of holster wear in this used gun which is another testament to the Durability of this finish. Some other features Include Heinie notch sights with a fiber optic front, Light Rail, Etc. Also Featured: Ares Gear Ranger Belt, SureFire E2D LED, SureFire EW-05 Pretty awesome Fixed Blade, Blade-Tech holster, Nighthawk Mags, Winchester PDX-1

I'm still reading ! I like both types of pictures and think it would be cool if you continued to experiment with new backgrounds and accessories. I'll try hard to keep more cool new guns and gear coming in. I hope to pick up a new line of Holsters in the near future that you can include, and its time for another knife order.

Not only do I keep us with this thread, but I was highly disappointed that it's no longer a sticky. Between this thread and a cup of coffee, I can't decide which one I look most forward to in the morning. Your photography is exceptional and showcases the pistols in magazine publication fashion. Personally, I prefer the pistol photos without any accessories, but the accessory photos do add some depth, so I can appreciate either style for the most part. Thanks for taking the time to post these and especially for presenting the pistols so well. Let’s see; Ed Brown Kobra Carry = Got it. Colt TALO Royal Combat Commander = Got it, Colt TALO WWII Armed Forces 1911 = Got it. Yea, I think it’s safe to assume that this thread has a big impact on me. Take Care. |
