A couple with some big dots.   I have not shot with them yet, but have a set of Ameriglo's if I don't like these.

I posted this as a reply to someone looking for sight ideas, thought I would post it here as well:

I have a hybrid setup with a Heinie straight eight ledge tritium rear, with a Truglow TFO front. Having the ability to manipulate the gun one handed is a must, and I personally prefer a two dot setup, especially at night, and this particular Heinie rear fits the bill perfectly. As for the front sight, I like having a fiber optic, as well as tritium. I personally found the TFO to work great in daylight, as well as low light. However during the in between lighting times/conditions where there is not enough ambient light to illuminate the fiber optic, but it is still too dark for the tritium to stand out, I found it a bit difficult to work with. To fix this I used some white modelers paint and filled in around the dot, and then covered it with an acrylic no chip nail top coat. I also added a bit of super glue to the fiber optic rod channel to help keep it in there, and should it even crack or break, it may still remain functional.

Here is the front sight:

I was getting some vertical stringing so I added small white lines to the top of the rear sight to help me level the front sight more quickly. I have this exact setup on both of my 17's. Getting pictures that reflect the actual look of the sights during use in impossible (for my skill with a camera anyway), but this setup works very well for me in all conditions.

This is the rear, needs to be redone as you can see the clear coat has started to wear off and flake, but you get the idea.

I couldn't get a good picture at arms length, but there is plenty of dead space around the front sight blade when acquiring a sight picture, which I much prefer to more blocky style sights that have little or no space between the rear sight notch and front blade, especially for precision.

The unfortunate part of this setup is that the TFO's are not sold individually and I had to buy two complete sets just to get the two fronts, so I have two TFO rears without a home, along with a ton of other sights I have experimented with over the years.

my night sights are just the standard 3 dot type, which i love. never owned those exclamation mark types. they allow for easy L-R alignment, but how do you know you're getting proper vertical alignment? the hoodrats will never hit anything aiming sideways with one of those

Truglo TFOs on Glock 19, extremely bright sights. I was disappointed that the front sight screw is long therefore the front sight wiggles. Truglo said they are sending me a shorter replacement screw that will make sure it snugs up nice and tight. As soon as that happens I'll give you guys a range report too. They are by far the brightest sights I have ever used, from full day to full dark they are hands down the brightest!

Just put some truglo's on a buddies G19 and yes they are BRIGHT. ALOT brighter than all my trijicons. They will be on my next GLOCK!!!!

Trijicon HD (yellow) on a generation 4 Glock 17

Sight picture in a pitch black room without and with "charging" the photo luminescent paint on the front sight with a flashlight.

I found these sights to be accurate when shot a 50 yards and preferred to the other sights I've used (standard Glock factory sights, standard Trijicon and Meprolight night sights, and Ameriglo dual illuminated fiber optic / tritium sights).

how do you know if you're aligned vertically properly? guess i'm just more comfortable with the 3dots all aligned and centered.

Heres my exo with the night sights it comes with. I believe they are ameriglo i-dot with orange front. Absolutly AWESOME.

I've got the same on mine with Orange rears and Green front, they are my personal favorite at the moment.  I've used Trijicon G-01s and when new, they were not nearly as bright.  I've used Tru Glo's which were like the blazing sun setting behind my eyeballs, but broke the front sights twice, and had a rear tube come out, way too fragile from my own personal experience.  I can not recommend them for serious use.

My 27 came with a fiber optic front sight and factory rear.  I will be replacing it soon with Ameriglo night sights as soon as they arrive in the mail.

Any of you Truglo TFO users had any sights fail, as in the inserts coming loose? I read a few comments about it on the web

Never on my XD9 svc.  Those sights were installed in 2008.

I thought I was buying Ameriglos off the EE.  Turns out they're Trijs.

Those look like Ameriglo Operator sights.  They say Trijicon on them because Ameriglo uses Trijicon tritium tubes (as do most night sight manufacturers).  I don't believe Trijicon made sights like those without the white outlines around the rear tubes (except for the HD sights which don't look like those).

Fresh Meprolight Tru Dot set on G19 (left), 15 year old Trijicons on Sig P226 for comparison (right).

The intensity is somewhat exaggerated.  The Trijicons are useable but feint.

I really like the look of those Warren Tactical sights.  What height is right for a Glock 17?

On the Warren Tactical, how brightly and what color does the rear night sight glow? I have the two lamp rear and it seems to be a bit faded white glow. I was wondering if that is typical of the Warren Tactical rear sight.

I had a Ghost Ring Tritium rear on my last 21 , and loved it .....the ring seemed to lend to a really quick target acquisition , yet didnt get in the way of carrying like I first thought it would . I could have sworn they were Trijicon , but upon looking can only find these by AroTek .......maybe the Trijicons arent made anymore ? ( Didnt see them on their web site )

Arotek's

ETA.........I did find a picture of an old sale on Google , and other pics show them to be Trijicons , again though ....nuttin on their web page .They look identical though .

Nice prototype.

Have there been any cycling problems with all the added weight to the slide?
Have you had issues with the red dot holding up to additional recoil impact from more energy required to cycle the heavier slide?

From what I can see the AmeriGlo I-Dot Pro and Trijicon HD's sights are exactly the same except the rear site.  I don't like the dot the I sights but have been eyeing the HD's for a while but they are $30+ more than the AmeriGlo's.  Can anyone clear this up for me are they same front sight as well?

I've got both and they are very close but the Trijicons seem to be a touch larger in the front ring.

For my money I prefer the Trijicon HD sights.

Warren Tactical Fiber Optic.
I shot IDPA with them last Thursday night.
Took about a tenth of a second off my split times while shooting bill drills.
I was able to follow the front sight through the recoil.

Trijicon HD GL101o

Awesome so far.  The highly visible front with the u-notch in the rear (and serrated to boot) make these a great set of sights.
