A few days ago, I bought a Chinese Norinco off of a co-worker. A couple of things about it that I thought was odd was that, for one, it has a siderail attached to the side of the receiver. The way it looked, and the way the stock was cut around it, it appears to be factory original. Another thing was that it had a 16-inch barrel, rather than the standard 20-inch. And lastly, it had no bayonet lug, and it doesn't appear that anything was ever cut off of it. All of the numbers matched, except for the magazine. I was made with stamped parts, yet the barrel was threaded. I paid $300 for it, 3 Chinese AK mags (not sure why the guy threw them in the deal with it), and 150 rounds of Yugo M67, so I think I got a good deal. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I might have here?
The serial number is 1937xxxx, and there is a large letter "P" at the beginning of the serial number. This thing has me stumped!! Lol!!
