My preferred/favorite mags are the 30 round bakelites both for the 7.62 and the 5.45.  They are reliable and they are beautiful!

what about you?

I like the Circle 10s for 7.62 and 5.45. Also, I like the older Russian aluminum waffle 7.62 mags. Not as strong, but they are wicked...

7.62 - Circle 10 waffle, bakelite, slabside

5.45 - I like all of the Bulgy and Russian mags. (so many colors!)

I only shoot 7.62 AKs and use regular old steel surplus mags. They take a beating and keep on feeding. The bakelites and (10) mags are great for the bench but at $30-$40ea I couldn't afford to buy a shitload of them and certainly wouldn't be tossing them around or dropping them in the dirt and gravel like I do with my steelies.

Steels are my go to for use, but I love Bakelites.

Depending on reviews of those new Toth Tool mags, they may become my go to.

7.62- euro steel
5.45 circle mags or Russian poly.
Bakelites are pretty but mine get all chipped up , while I'm sure its a non-issue, I just collect them. I have some steel 5.45 mags, but why are they so hard to find? Were they only made by romy's

I have one circle 10 in 7.62 but I refuse to pay what they're asking for them again. I got a deal on magpul ak mags, 4/$50 and they seem pretty legit. Knowing magpul I think they'll hold up just fine. Don't own a 5.45x39 so idk.

I was offline both times they had them.

But managed to trade for a couple, want some more but haven't been seeing them on the EE or anywhere else.

Just as long as they are military, it doesn't really matter

I remember when 5.45 orange were cheap, now everybody craves them
