I just bought a lot of 80s Russian surplus 5.45 that I assume is 7NC. Just wanted to know if there's anything I should know about this ammo. I know how to clean corrosive primers but is there anything else about 7NC I should know? I've heard their primers are hard. Thanks for any info!

I'm gonna sound like a noob, what's 7NC? I haven't seen that before. I've head of 5N7, 7N6, 7N10, 7N22, and there's another one designed for silenced 74U's.... Can't remember the name... But I don't remember it being 7NC.

No such animal as 7NC.

7U1 is subsonic.

Ah, so the OP got the name mixed up I guess?  I assume he meant 7N6.

You got me all excited thinking there was another supply of a different 5.45 round. ;)

It's also pretty accurate as surplus goes.
