This ammo will have a "Wolf" headstamp and but in generic white box packaging and does not carry the Wolf Performance Ammunition guarantee as it was manufactured under contract for a different outlet and is now being liquidated after being tied up for several years due to trademark issues. This is great ammo and at a one-time deal special purchase price

Logo indicates ulyanovsk manufacture - probably really good stuff, especially since AKs are not particularly ammo sensitive.
ETA: the ad says those are NOT pics of the actual ammo, so probably have to see the updated pics after friday to be sure if it's indeed ulyanovsk-made. |

Guys this is GTG ammo, buy it cheap stack it deep.
This is an excellent deal.This must have been a huge lot of ammo as several vendors have had, or still have this lot in stock. It will sell out quickly. |

People on a local board are saying it is actually corrosive. Saw another thread where they did some sort of nail test. And it rusted. Can anyone actually confirm or deny it as being corrosive?

Not the same ammo. Your thinking of the Klimovsk ammo.Its in a white box similar to the white box in this lot. |

Coming from Neberzhnye Chelny, it was probably manufactured by a division or subsidiary of KAMAZ. I've never had any of their ammo before (that I'm aware of), but it's probably built to the same russian specs as other 7.62x39 ammo.

My case showed up today.
I'll shoot half if not all of it tomorrow. Will be treating as corrosive until otherwise proven wrong (pour bottle of water down barrel / gas tube) then normal splash of brake cleaner and clp |

This is why living 15 min from door step to private range is a bad thing. I'm on my third case of 7.62 and second case of 5.56 for the year. Also have the TN HTF shoot mid march so there's another case of each

The Wolf pictured above has the same/similar story of being held up by a legal issue, 2008-2010 production, yada,yada...
The only differences I can tell from the "old" generic white box, and this "old stock" wolf packaged ammo are: 124 grain vs 122 grain now white boxes vs Wolf boxes as cheap as $204(if you bought 10 cases) or $210 for a case vs $230 for a case. Neither have the "Wolf Performance Guarantee" |

Is this the same as the last white box generic wolf? As in same factory non corrosive ect? Basically only diffrence is 124gr and In the black wolf box instead of white unmarked one?

Well I bought. 500 rounds of the white box generic and 1k rounds of the black wolf boxed generic. Just wanted to make sure they are the same and non corrosive.
