I don't have a lot of room to build but I try to make as much out of my small area as I can. Just wanted to share.

That works just fine.  My bench is 8ft long and the vice is at one end.  I use that end most of the time - probably only need 3ft.

My reloading bench is a fold up 2x3 ft table with a 1" thick top that I've had since college.  It's got a press, powder measure, cannelure tool, and a movable desk lamp mounted on it.

As long as it is stable and doesn't move when wrenching, it's good.

Good use of space. I mounted a vice to an old coffee table so I have a portable work station

M60:  Looks plenty good enough for the task.  For what its worth, my 5' long bench is filled with clutter, leaving only a small space for actual detail work, about 18" wide by 12" deep.  

BTW, I carried an M60 for a while and vividly recall shooting a 200 round belt of 4and1 from a tripod at Hohenfels training area in the Spring of 1964.  Those who haven't experience this cannot appreciate the ability to aim direct fire like a hose with devastating results.  Meanwhile the use of indirect fire, aka the beaten field effect, is a lost art, obsoleted long ago by blitzkrieg tactics. - CW
