Initial sight in @ 50 yards. First time shooting rifle after completion last night

15 Shots @ 50 yards after first cleaning this evening

9 shot @ 100 yards after the 50 yard target this evening

Really pleased with the functionality of the rifle, no a single hiccup using the replacement series 2 Hexmag that Hexmag was kind enough to replace my original Hexmag that had random loading issue in any AR I tried it in.
Couldn't be happier with the scope and since it was 70 bucks shipped from Palmetto, seems like a steal, and it included butler creek lens caps. As has been my experience, Faxon Barrels are Excellent barrels.  I've built five rifles, 2 with Voodoo barrels and this is my third Faxon barrel and they have not disappointed!  The Reticle on the Bone Collector is similar in thickness to that of the Prostaff Nikon scopes

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Faxon barrels shoot good, so stick with them. Don't know what your collection looks like, but if you don't have a "basic" rifle you might consider something like this with A2-style furniture and FSB.

My 'which barrel' was actually which faxon barrel. Wondering if they have something in the 20" range.  I've got a couple with Government and M4 profile barrels open sights.

Think I want to build one with the 20" flame fluted barrel, now to just find one in stock.....

I really dig that hand guard.  Do you happen to know the weight of it?

Not off hand, It's not as light and as slim as my MI Gen2 SS 15" rail, but pretty darn close.  It feels great, and for 130.00 on sale right now, it was well worth the money.  I see they have the keymod selling for same price now for those that prefer that mounting system.  There are no T markings on this guard which I liked as well since the upper I was using didn't have them either.  It appears to have anti rotate QD mounts at both ends of rail and on each side.  I say anti rotation because iirc, there were stops at 180 degrees in the groves
