Hi guys, reading through these posts has helped me very much through building my first AR so far, until I had a question that I couldn't find much information on. I really like and have become set on getting the ALG EMR hand guard. Has anyone used this hand guard with a bull barrel. If anyone has used this, what .936 low profile gas block did you use that fits underneath it. I have been having trouble finding a bull barrel gas block that would fit under this slim hand guard. Any information on experience with this is appreciated. Thanks Guys

I have a DPMS low profile .936" gas block on a WOA varmint barrel under a 15" EMR V1 and it fits great.  It's close enough that you'll want to dimple the barrel so the set screws sit flush, but these barrels have so much meat on them that's no problem.  I'll admit it was a bit of a gamble at the time since I (like you) couldn't find any good info on the matter.

I'm not sure if the other EMR variants have different internal dimensions, but ALG has all of that info posted on their site.




 

All that being said, good choice on the EMR!  I love mine and recommend them whenever I can.
