Any recommendations? Has anyone else done this? Don't think they make dissy barrels in 9mm.
Looking to find a clamp on gas block that would fit on the end of a .750 barrel, that won't have any issues securing.
Any idea if somebody out there sells shims? Or would I be better off boring out a smaller diameter FSB.

I'm looking to do this on a 9mm Barrel, The only "Gas Block" locations I can find so far are carbine length. Would prefer a fixed FSB, but I'm also considering a YHM. I just like the look of it.

Considering in the following price range:
Armalite Clamp On
Dez Tactical
YHM

If it can't really be done, I might just grab a set of fixed DD sights. will any of these secure to the .710 portion behind the flash hider?

Just an update, I ordered an Armalite Clamp On. We'll see if it works or not. Since they are fairly rare now, I don't think I'll have trouble selling it in the worst case scenario.

Seems like only one store now carries the things.

The Armalite is very nice, good choice.

The YHM will clamp down to like .7 with no shims if I remember right

Well shit.

Mission Accomplished, I had some set backs though.

My only complaint is how cheap the set screws were. I initially had things in place and torqued down just right. (Not over tight.) So I I proceeded to back one of them out to use red loctite.
The screw damn right snapped in half while I was loosening it wtf? I mean I expected that to maybe happen when tightening, but loosening? w/e..

An hour with an automatic center punch/hand drill later, I got the broken screw fragment out without harming the FSB threads.

I took a trip to Menard's with the FSB in hand and found some spare screws
10-32 IIRC 5/8" long fit perfectly just incase anyone else runs into my problem. Also they seemed to be alot better quality than the supplied armalite screws (which I found sad)
I have everything torqued down and I cannot muscle the thing out of place. (255lb guy that used to power lift) so I don't see the FSB going anywhere. I also applied red loctite which is being left on to cure.

Also the FSB is not touching the rail. I left enough space for a drivers license sized card to swipe through.

The FSB is a quality piece, the screws? Not so much

Debating on adding a flash hider, or just leaving the thread protector.

FYI this is a government profile barrel, not an M4 cut.

Now the sight is not F marked, but since it's at rifle length will I need a longer front sight post? I'm sure it matters even less on a 9mm.
