will a standard ar15 armorers wrench be able to remove the Daniel Defense barrel nut that came on my M4V5? Or do I have to purchase the DD barrel nut wrench from them to take it off?

When I installed a DD rail system on one of my builds I had to purchase the DD wrench.  If you don't mind screwing the nut up there may be a ghetto way to get that nut off without the DD wrench.

If you have the armorers wrench with the old spanner on the end for the castle nuts with the holes I think it will work. Let me go check in my shop and I'll get back to you. If you can find one in stock they're only like $10 though.

I found it for $12 on brownells website but with 7.95 shipping I was kinda set on using my armorers wrench. Found one on eBay for $12 with free shipping so I went with it. Thanks for the help.

I just checked and the spanner on the end should remove it but you got one anyway. Yeah the shipping kills you on small parts! That's what sucks about trying to loan something like that also. For the price to ship it both ways you can just buy one.

I just need it this one time so maybe I'll throw it up on the EE when I'm done

Is it the lite rail III or the omega x? I think the omega x has the holes and the lite rail series have the notches.

I assumed it's the lite rail. It's the stock one that came on my m4v5

Don, bought one on eBay for $12 shipped a few years back. Check there or post a wanted ad in EE.
