I have a CMMG assembled lower that's been sitting for a couple of years and I'm tired of it being lonely so I bought a "blem" nickel teflon upper from Right to Bear for a good price. This will be the worlds slowest build as I will be buying parts a bit here and a bit there when ever I have the money to spare on it. Hopefully I can get it done within a year. I am thinking of the 300 AAC Blackout because it just seems like a really great cartridge for everything. I may eventually build a 6.5 Grendel for long range or a .223 for military shooting, not sure. Depends on how this one goes.
Thanks
Pat

Sounds great Pat!
Keep up posted on the progress.
I have been thinking of a 6.5 build myself.

And I thought mine was the slowest at going on 4 months with at least 2 more to get it shooting.

are you a reloader? If so, definitely look into the .277 wolverine. It's a wildcat that runs supers almost as well as 6.8 spc and subs pretty much as well as 300 Blk. In just jumped on board and have 2 builds already.

Same concept as 300 blk as far as it accepts everything the same as 5.56 except barrel.

What?? New accounts limited to 2000 characters? WTF is that?? That's bs.
Anyway, no I do not presently reload. After I decide which way I am going I will probably buy a one station reloader and go that route. Heck there's so many to choose from too. 6.4 Grendel, 6.4AR Turbo, .300 AAC... Haven't really decided. The range by in my area has a 100/200 yard rifle range. One round only rule for all center fire rifles. Rimfire and pistols can have a max of 5 rounds. It's a very restricted range. I'll have look around for something a little more relaxed as far as centerfires go. My upper from Right to Bear has shipped already, I ordered it last night and they shipped it today. Wow, that's service.
Regards
Pat

Wee, got my upper in the mail yesterday and it's in nice shape. Very happy with it. Two days for shipping and was well packaged. Worked 12 hrs of overtime today to help pay for some little bits and pieces I would like to order. Still not sure if I should go for the SBR or not. Guess I'll decide when I buy the barrel. So much to do, so little time.
