I want to build an upper for 300 BO. I am going to go with the CMMG 8 inch barrel and a 7 inch rail. My question is do threads protrude from the front of the rail to attach the suppressor to.

ETA- I am leaning toward an Omega suppressor and a smaller diameter foreend like a Troy or MI SS, so I don't thing the can under the rail would be an option.

Thanks

The rail is going to be slightly too long for you, even if it was 7", I think most rails labeled as 7" are actually 7.2".

Its going to be close.  May need to modify the rail a little.

In most cases, if you have a ~7" carbine rail and an 8" barrel, the barrel thread shoulder will stick out past the rail, such that a mounted suppressor will have 1/4-1/8" of clearance between it and the rail. But it depends on the exact length of the rail, and how much of the barrel is threaded. If it's too close, you could put on a crush washer or two to move the suppressor forward a bit.

here is my 300blk SBR

Rainer 8.5" Select Barrel with a Spikes BAR2  9"

With the AAC Brake, it winds up being flush with the rail.  I included one with a Noveski Pig before I got the suppressor:

Bad advice. Suppressor manufacturers recommend you do not use crush washers with suppressors. Crush washers can cause misalignment resulting in baffle strikes.
