Does anyone know if the snap ring in the Delta assembly is of special dimensions, or is it just a big ass snap ring?  I have one that is fubar, and I'm thinking of taking to the local auto parts store or ace hardware to see if I can match it.

Note::  I have one of Harbor Freight snap ring collections, you know, four of five bucks for an assortment.  I checked, and there are some the right diameter, but they are too thick to fit into the slot.  Thing is, Harbor Freight crap is known for out of the norm, out of spec junk, so I thought it's possible that quality "same size" snap ring fro NAPA or Ace might not be so thick and might work.

Anybody know?

As a side note:  The one I have that is no longer serviceable is from some no name Delta ring assembly.  It is NOT made of "spring steel".  Probably chinease crap steel.  Can't remember where I bought it.  It was cheap though.  Amazon?  Don't know.

If a NAPA snap ring would fit, should be good quality.  Ace hardware small stuff, a lot of it is from China.  Prolly wouldn't trust.

Too bad TheCitizensArmory is out of stock.  Their shipping would have likely been less than a buck.
