I've been looking around for 300 pistol uppers and am wondering what are the options for 300 blk uppers that are piston driven? I was looking at AA conversion kits but from what they say, they aren't designed for anything but 556. I can see that piston 300 blk is fairly new so I'm wondering if it is even worth trying to go with a setup that's so new...

I'm running the AA system on my 10.5" 300BO piston, and it runs  like a top.  The trick with the BO is to keep reciprocating weight low.  I went with the XLP system with the lightened carrier and a standard carbine buffer.  It's soft recoiling and as reliable as any firearm I own.  Here soon I plan to get a can for it since I've already got the YHM QD flash hider.

Nice! I'm really interested in the 300blk in pistols and have recently gotten into piston systems. I'm surprised at how new it is since it seems like a piston system would work great for a caliber that is used so often suppressed. I'll keep that in mind and let you know how things work out. Cheers and thanks!

A few companies have tried it and given up.  But I recently read of someone getting one to work, but I believe it was a 16 inch barrel.  However I cannot remember the details of it, so don't hold me to it
