I'm looking to start my first build, and I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a high quality LPK minus the trigger group.

Thanks

Stag makes a very good lpk for price.

Personally I'd get a jp rifle lpk without trigger and slap in an alg defense act trigger in it. Joe Bob outfitters sells both online.

the biggest difference between lpk is the trigger....some are horrible

Any out there without the trigger group and without the A2 pistol grip.  I have a ton of grips b/c I never use them.

Anderson sells this, just what you are asking for, for under $30. Shipping costs may erode the saving though???

Stag. Best out of box trigger on the market.

If you happen to be planning on using a Geisslie SSA-E, this would be hard to beat.

CMMG gun builders kit, no FCG or grip

Spikes Tactical LPK w/o fire control group.  Best LPK I have purchased, all of the pins are spiral wound roll pins vs the standard split roll pins and the ends are tapered to allow for easier starting.

AIM is out of stock put primary arms has them here Spike's LPK w/o FCG

I have to agree with this.  Best out of the box mil-spec trigger for me has been Stag.

Used to be Stag/CMT but now it's PSA for me. Their triggers are nicer than the Stag kits that I have built with.

I piece them from several different places.  Usually the kits come with so much crap I don't want. You may want Battle Arms selector and enhanced take down pin set.

After many builds I'm partial to CMMG lower parts kits.

White Oak hard to beat the quality (and the price) of their LPK and allows you to choose the trigger to fit your needs.

DD has a great out of the box/bag LPK. Pretty consistant with the QC Sell the FCG on EE and there you have it.

Just put two CMMG kits in two new Tactical Machine lowers I bought to build as pistols. Nice trigger kits.

"The most bang for the buck" I think is a fair statement.

CMMG also has great youtube instructions and the parts are in color coded parts bags so you don't get them mixed up.  They have quality pins and a "fair" trigger.

Get this and grab yourself a grip and good trigger of your choice. I suggest Geissele for the trigger. looking to get a SSA-E for myself here shortly. Good luck...

They make one of the best. Got one myself from adcofirearms.com, mainly because I wanted to select my grip and trigger.

Another Vote for the WOA kit. Shipping is by USPS and comes quickly. Get the ALG - ACT and you will not be able to blame poor grouping on your Trigger.  If you think you will be making a longer range weapon RRA 2 stage Match groups are available else where for 15 bucks more.  Personally the ACT is my choice for a beginner to shooter weapon.

Go to the site below and you get the Spike’s LPK with the new grip “MOE” type/pattern grip

$47 plus $2.50 shipping – yes out of stock for now, but worth the wait (unless you are going to use a different grip).
