What low-pro gas blocks fit under the two handguard listed below? Don't want to buy gas block and end up modifying handguard and or gas block.

Midwest Industries GEN 2 SS

Diamondhead VRS-T.

Thanks

The Gen 2 SS is pretty thin but with a .675-.750 diameter barrel with a low profile gas block like the Troy, Vltor, or Daniel Defense will work. Also Midwest's own low profile gas block will work for sure under the GEN2 SS. Only when your running a full bull barrel with a .920 gas block will they not fit under without some serious grinding or custom gas block.

Been hearing that the barrel nut that comes with the Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS handguard is not very pleasant. Is this true and if so what barrel nuts is everyone using?

I've had no problem with the barrel nut. You do need to loctite the rail to the nut to prevent the rail from possibly sliding forward on the nut though.

I just installed a Seekins Low pro gas block under my MI SSM rail.
I didn't have an issue with the barrel nut buy I had one minor annoyance with the tool, since the teeth of the barrel nut are right up against the receiver if the tool tilts it could contact the receiver if its in the right position so you have to hold the barrel nut wrench straight as you tighten it.

Clamp on low pro is too thick on the bottom to work with MI SS gen2, just found out the hard way.

Sithis - since the adjustment screw faces rearward towards the handguard and not the muzzle do you get good clearance and access with the MI GEN 2 SS rail?

The BTE block in .750" will fit under the G2SS & the SSK MI rails. The adjustment screw faces the left side & has been accessible on all my builds, as luck would have it.
