I was working on doing the color-fill today and figured I'd share. Still trying to get the fill to my liking so overlook the sloppyness.

Parts So far:
Spikes honey Badger lower with Spikes upper
PSA mil-spec lower parts kit
Magpul CTR stock and MOE grip
Yankee Hill 5.56 1-7 twist 16.5" carbine barrel
Magpul PMAG 30

Next planned purchase is a BCM Mod 4 and An Aim nitrided BCG.

Haven't really decided yet on the front furniture. Torn between a 15" quad with low profile gas block or something more field friendly. Like m4 front grips and a pinned front gasblock/ sight combo. I would like to have a bayo so the m4 front might win out.

Good plan.

A bayonet won't work with a 16" barrel and carbine gas length, you would have to put a low pro gasblock and put the FSB and handguard cap out midlength 9"....in essence a middy dissapator.

@hipsh0t
Can you elaborate? What FSB would work? The receiver is a flat-top so I know that can make a difference regarding front sights. Do I use a lo-pro gas block and a regular front sight gas block sight/ lug just not hooked up? Do you have photos of the setup your talking about? It actually sounds like the right route because then I can add an adjustable gas block to the mix and fine tune.

What HipSh0t is referring to is the length of barrel from the gas port to the muzzle is 7 inches to use bayonets. A 16.5" barrel with a carbine gas system has a gas port to muzzle length of 9.5 inches. This would not locate the opening in the bayonets handguard to be at the flash hider.

Anyone ever try one of these, seems like it renders a few inches of the blade useless.

I wonder if anyone makes a bayonet lug extender?

Yes.  There are also long-tang bayonets available.
