Much like Snake Eyes, I am a ninja who is not opposed to guns.

Buying a rifle outright is a bit out of my economical means, so I recently ordered a "blemished" Spike's lower from JoeBobOutfitter.com and I will build it as I can afford parts.  I'll probably get a CMMG .22LR upper as ammo is cheaper and the smaller handgun only ranges will let me shoot there.  I'll get a "real" 5.56 upper as well when I find something I like.  There's a handgun range very close to where I live, so that's a HUGE factor in my decision.

Don't look for anything fancy.  I sucked with the M16-A2 when I was in the Army, so I want as close to an A2 as I can get, iron sights and all, just to prove to myself I can hit something with it.  I've shot a friend's rifle and wasn't nearly as terrible as I used to be.  Also, I'd like to get a bayonet on it.  Damn nostalgia.

I got a "Punisher" lower.  More details to come.

That is one of the beauties of building your own. Taking your time as budget allows. Labor day sales will be coming up soon,  So start saving your Pennies. Then we have Veterans Day prices are good but not great. Now black Friday is the big Granddaddy of them all with sales. Unless some fool starts yet another panic scare buying frenzy.
