Until Mag Tactical and 2A Armament come out with their uppers, a 9mm upper with a gas tube hole drilled is the lightest you'll get.

Without waiting or drilling a 9mm version, you could go with one of the Anderson uppers.

Still has the shell deflector.  Aero, Rainier, and Spikes all have similar products.

Go with either the Model 1 or Rock River Arms 9mm forged flat top uppers and drill the gas tube hole.  You won't get any lighter.  
The DPMS Lo-Pro upper is totally slick-sided but has thicker walls than a traditional forged one as pictured below.

I just ordered one of the Andersons from Copes tonight.

Here

I will be doing some comparisons to a normal upper with F/A hardware and door hardware separately.
