AggM: Where did you get a pressure pad for your 6P? I have looked around but have found only low quality, suspicious stuff.

AggM: Dig the new Geiselle rail.
Did they not machine any sling swivel studs into the rail? Doing searches on the net yield 0 results for reviews or a better look at it. Would you mind taking time to post a couple more pics focusing on that rail? Thank you. |

Np. I'll get some up tomorrow. No swivel studs. The HK416 version has QD slots in it from what I've seen. These seem to be absent on the AR15/etc variant.
Edit: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_2_444/221861_Geissele_Super_Modular_Rail_is_available.html There's a few more pictures in here. Better than I could take. |

Its not really a fight..... Its more like a "I want this, now do it". She will get what she wants, she always does. I really wanted to do an "artic" set up (white). Thats what the guff is all about.
Updated the pics in my post. The first ones were not very well done. THese arn't much better, but hey, can't expect much out of a smart phone. |

Well here it is. This is my first AR-15 and my first build. Totally from scratch; both upper and lower started as stripped units and I built up from there. Took it out to the range right after getting it built and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks to all on this forum who provided advice and answered my questions and pointed me in the right direction.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-FYeDqOah6vQ/UFVCLQVR7bI/AAAAAAAAAh0/Gk9nldDZ8Z0/s912/AR-15%25281%2529.png Henderson Defense Industries NP3 Coated Receivers (billet lower and forged upper) DPMS LPK & Charging Handle DTI 16” 5.56mm 1:9 Standard Barrel (H-150 Savage Stainless Cerakote) Del-Ton BCG, Delta Ring Assembly, & gas tube Magpul MOE Mid-Length Handguard Magpul MBUS Rear Sight CAA CBST Six-position Buttstock Kit Magpul PMAG 30 Round Magazine The base cost including sales tax, shipping & transfer fees to build this rifle was $891 in 2012 dollars. The total cost as shown in the pictures which includes the following upgrades/additions was $1,229. Cerakote application to barrel KNS Precision Crosshair Hooded Duplex Front Sight Custom Engraved Ejector Port Cover Red Dot Sight* with ½” riser Strike Industries Patriot Series Pistol Grip Grip-Pod with 2 ½” Picatinny mount Additional Magpul PMAG 30 Round Magazine * BSA Optics 30mm Red-Dot Sight (I couldn’t turn this down when Cabela’s put it on sale for $20. This will hold me over until I build up a budget for some proper optics) Just to be realistic, add another $150 for miscellaneous costs such as tools, magazines (the type that feed the ammo and the printed type for information and pictures), Initial ammo to sight-in, etc. The total length is 33” with the buttstock collapsed and the weight is 8.8 lbs. Now I need to save up for additional items such as: Sling, Carry-case, Ammo, light, Ammo, Adjustable Cheek Rest, Ammo, .22LR Conversion Kit, etc., etc., etc. What have I started!?!? |
