This is the third or fourth top end this lower has seen over the last six years. It started out as a simple rebarrel, all of the old upper I ended up reusing on this carbine was the MBUS, handguards, gas tube and gas tube roll pin. I swear to God, if you put loose AR parts in a dark box they reproduce!

Runs well. Comp is awesome at keeping gun on target but equally awesome at pissing off near by shooters. Need a holo sight or red dot still but can ding a 12 inch steel plate at 200y standing, unsupported, with irons 10 outta 10 rounds. With good ammo that is. |

holy crap dont think ive seen a cav arms lower with an upper on it, guess its the same combo though that nearly every poly based pistol uses though. Poly housing for FCG and steel slide assmb

The start of my first build, I began purchasing parts about a year ago, the LPK a month back and recently ordered the stock assembly (all parts are RRA for the lower). The upper assembly is a Stag 2H, and is en route––she'll be a RRS. I call her Black Betty (like the song). I only got one tiny scratch next to the bolt catch during installation of the LPK. great success!

yeah, a beautiful rifle save (excluding) the ejection port. Maybe it could be upgraded to reference opinion journalists on CNN or MSNBC.

Looking forward to giving a range report after this weekend.

I just completed my SPR build this week. I was waiting on a couple of small parts to completely finish it up (AAC 51T Brake and custom 3-position gas block) even though I'd assembled it months ago and even shot it a couple times.
Here's the details: Upper Mega Machine Billet Upper Receiver PRI Gas Buster C/H Fail Zero Bolt Carrier Superior Barrels 18" Terebraetus Barrel (1/8 twist, polygonally rifled, hard blue coated inside and out) MP bolt from Superior pre-headspaced to barrel JP/VTAC Rifle Length FF Tube Custom 3-position gas block (On/Suppressed/Off) AAC 51-tooth Muzzle Brake Lower Mega Machine Billet Lower M&A Lower Parts Kit Geissele High Speed DMR Trigger Magpul MIAD Grip Magpul ASAP Plate Magpul ACS Stock Optic/Sights/Light Trijicon TA31H-G (Green Illumination) Magpul MBUS Front and Rear Fenix TA20 with Pressure Switch Tailcap (they unfortunately only make the long curly cord ones right now) VLTOR Offset Scout Mount (puts light at 1 o'clock position when placed on the 3 o'clock rail) Tango Down Switch Rail Panel (on top rail for ease of use shooting bilaterally) Here are some photos of it: 
I shot a 10-shot group at 100 yards with it yesterday (just for grins). I didn't let the barrel cool between shots and fired each shot about 3-4 seconds after the previous one. I was shooting Lake City 62gr Green Tip because I wanted to see what the rifle was capable of with surplus ammo. I shot this without the can on the rifle. I plan on shooting another group with it to see if it tightens up any. Center-to-Center (the two fliers):

it is factory bell and carlson tiger stripe there is some grey in it but no shine what you see in the pic is camera flash. nice stock but heavey rifle is right around 15lbs with the 26" bull barrel

Finished a couple of hours ago.
  AR Performance 16" mid length 1/8 Wylde chamber barrel. ARP BCG YHM lo-pro gas block Clark Custom FF tube Larue LT 104 mount and Elite 3200 10x scope. Lower is a Stag A2. Trigger was polished by me. The build was finished this afternoon. I should be able to shoot it when the epoxy hardens. That would be 24-36 hours |

Currently have the CMMG .22 conversion kit and love it. I started with 2 Aero Precision stripped lowers, then got to reading about "80%" lowers, and thought "I can do that, and Dad has a mill with a DRO!" So I ordered 3 forgings from DSA. Meanwhile I got impatient. I was shooting the heck out of my SP-1 and wanted something to shoot that wasn't so collectible. So, at a gun show last week I picked up a the what I needed to get shooting.
Bushmaster upper that had been slightly used (real slightly...no scratches on shell deflector soon to be remedied) 14.5" barrel with pinned AK style muzzle brake DPMS BCG Brownell's buffer Command Arms CBS stock ERGO grip A.R.M.S. #40 rear sight I already had the DD LPK, surplus sling, and plenty of mags. Next will be some green handguards and magazines to match the rest. Fun to shoot.
