No, the top one is a gun.  Mines are used to either deter access or to obtain minerals and ore from the ground.

I am looking for tips on what else I could add or change on my SPR. The scope is probably 1.2 inches away from the rail, some people say that is way too much and others say it is fine. Give me your opinion.

It has:
LaRue Complete stealth 20" upper
Magpul PRS stock
Magpul MIAD grip
Smith Enterprise G6-A2 Vortex Flash Eliminator
Stag Arms complete lower
Rock River Arms 2-stage Match Trigger
Yankee Hill Machine Co. Tactical Charging Handle Latch
LaRue tactical bipod mount with Harris adjustable bipod

"budget" pistol build. Still needs the backup sight. Not sure what optic I'll use.
I want to put an eotech but with no co-witness of any sort I'll probably have to pony up for the Aimpoint.
I may try a Vortex SPARC 1st since I'm broke now.

Parts list
$345 PSA 10.5 upper
$59 PSA blem lower
$39 PSA PTAC MOE LPK
$119 PSA Full auto Premium bolt carrier
$44 Phase5 Pistol Buffer tube
$22 Bravo Co. blem CH handle
$35 KAK Flashcan
$180 VLTOR CASV EL
$28 Magpul AFG
$12 sling plate

$883. I shouldn't have added that up.

Eotech 512 will go back on my Carbine eventually

I know, it was a "budget, sneak this by the wife" build. I had $600 allocated. The little stuff adds up fast though.
I still want an inforce light and I just bought a QD mount off EE for $30

SPARC is okay for the price.  Admittedly I am more of a Aimpoint fan.  The SPARC has fewer bright settings and the soft button on the top can easily be turned on.

Acetone and a LOT of time.  There are still a few tiny spots with paint on it.  Over the holidays when I have the time I will take care of those.   I used a rag and toothbrush to get the paint off then hit the finish with another rag with mobil1 on it.  Let it sit then wiped it down after that to dry it off.

Hate to bust some bubbles, but that looks like a standard safety engaged on the bottom photo. You should see some metal "bulk" on the left side if it was, in fact, an engaged fun switch. Also, it being a home build, that weapon in and of itself could not be a transferable machine gun, as the probability of it being a post-86 is strong.
