2 builds i recently did, one for my dad one for myself took me a few years to get around to doing my own finally gotta get pics up of friend builds

My first AR, it's a New Frontier blank lower and a complete build kit (complete upper, lower build kit, & stock) from Law-Guns.com did the complete thing for under $700. Only thing I had to get seperately was a bullet button since I'm in California. Still waiting on flip-up sights and scope to show up then off to the range I go.

still have to put in rear pin and tighten castle nut. Daniel defense chf 16" with 1:7 chromed 9310 bolt and carrier, chromed magpul moe with ctr stock new frontier poly lower cant wait to shoot it tonight!

My barrel came today so I finally slapped together all the AR parts that were sitting in a box in my closet for the past few months.
Specs: PSA lower w/ MOE lpk B5 Sopmod Bravo Aero upper Aim surplus 9310 BCG BCM 16" mid AAC Blackout FH 15" Troy Alpha DD fixed front sight and a chopped carry handle rear Came in just under $1k and I'm really happy with it. 7.62 SND-6 on the way! No optics yet. Looking into a 1-4x illuminated reticule, possibly a Vortex or Leupold. Function test 100% with supers and subs.

I just want to thank everyone on the board for all of your great advice/tips/knowledge/time that you give and share. It's nice to see the "brotherhood" of decent human beings who are members on this site. I am proud to say that because of all the hard work and time guys have put into some of these informational threads I was able to complete my builds from bare bones without having to ask a single question. I've spent so many hours reading and researching all of the stickies on these pages that I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about now. So thanks again fellas.
My first build I started back in December. I finished it awhile ago but I finally got my RDS (AZarmament.com -- running a sale btw "PROsave") so I figured it was finally post worthy. I actually made two of these build at the same time, 14.5" and 16", but gave the 16" to my father. Well I can't get on amazon from work but based on the link you posted you might have got fake ones or the PTS version which to my understanding is for training. It says airsoft in the title... Many people myself included have had no issues with the pins "walking out" on the actual Magpul sights |

"Finished" this rifle this past March for my son's 2nd birthday. It'll be his to shoot as he grows up. I've changed a few things around with it since March and I plan to change the optic out, add a BAD-ASS ambi selector, Ceracote the upper and lower FDE, and I'm on the fence with the bolt (may throw a NiB bolt in there vs the PSA one in it). The rifle shoots amazing though so far and I have put about 500 rounds through it.

I would not have been able to piece this thing together without you all. Going to dress it up a bit more with optics, a forward grip and some rail covers but you get the idea.

First upper build on an Eagle Arms Pre-Ban lower receiver. 16" Black Hole Weaponry SS mid length barrel, ACT 4.5# trigger, Magpul fixed stock and MAID Grip, Midwest Industries SS Gen 2 12" forearm, YHM Phantom muzzle device, BCM low pro gas block, and my old TA 21 reflex sight from 2003. It was a fun build and this thing runs very well. Will test for accuracy with PPU 69 grain OTM ammo and scope in a few weeks. Also going to handload some 55 grain HP ammo and see what the results are! |
