Here's my first and probably last build. This definitely got expensive.

Badass man!... How are you liking the CAA Grip? Best grip I've used
Hot damn!! I do want one of those AXTS Lowers so they get caught up I should be caught up on the $$ and I'm going for it..........
Both my upper and lower were hard finds. The ban scare has everything sold out. Last i checked the AX556 is on backorder for 90-120 days. I got lucky and someone let me get it off a complete build. Check armslist and maybe you can score one. To me, it was worth the money

I also had a hard time finding parts, many hours watching the in-stock threads and a couple months later I managed to come up with all the parts, only part I paid a little bit of a premium for was the barrel, everything else I feel I made out pretty well on. |

I got decent prices as well. It took some searching on making sure I got real parts, not knockoffs or airsoft crap. I plan on getting a new BCG. it wasn't my first choice. All in all Im damn happy with it. Dont plan on selling even if im dead broke!

I would definitely recommend it. |

First is a Seekins lower with a Aero upper. Has a ARPerfomance 223 Wylde barrel. Finished off with a Samson Evolution handguard which I really like. I will use one again for sure. It's a shooter so far. My first build I did totally from scratch so I was thrilled. I think your castle nut is on backwards |

Shouldn't be too difficult once I get the taper pins out. Also need to pin and weld the BC1.5, and Duracoat the upper receiver and NSR. Shouldn't be bad at all. I have access to a mill, a press, and MIG and TIG welders. **P.S. --Before the Internet foil hat guys comment on the currently unpinned flash hider, I have a registered AR15 SBR, so I am not breaking any laws by possessing this upper. New here, so I have some questions as it's obvious you know what you're doing. 1) Why didn't you just get a low-pro gas block to begin with? Did the FSB come with the barrel? 2) What is that diagonal line thingy that is an inch forward of your safety selector? |

Did the FSB come with the barrel? 2) What is that diagonal line thingy that is an inch forward of your safety selector? I wanted the FSB because theycome already pinned to the barrel with taper pins, and that is the most secure way to attach a gas block. I could've gotten a Lo pro gas block and drilled it, reamed it and pinned it myself, but it saves me some work if I just buy a complete upper and take it apart and rebuild it. The "diagonal line thingies" (no ball busting intended, everybody has to learn from somewhere) are KNS anti rotation pins. They keep the hammer pin from rotating, which will eventually make the hole in the lower egg shaped. Most people say you don't need them unless you are shooting full auto, which I won't be, but they are only $35 and they are cheap insurance from possibly ruining an expensive lower. |

It's going to be kinda hard to do with a pinned FH don't ya think?? I maybe wrong here because I don't know what the NSR barrel nut looks like.

Why would you need to pin the FH if you have a registered SBR?

If the gooberment ever wanted to take guns away, I'd think they'd start with NFA items that are all registered to a specific person and address. They know exactly where all of those guns are at, and they can't just be lost in a tragic boating accident. I have my registered SBR, and now I'd like a gun that isn't registered. Not that i think they will ever take guns away, or that I have any need for an "unregistered" gun, I just dont feel i should have all my eggs in one basket. Make sense? My SBR is my only other AR15. Yes, that's right, my first AR is an SBR. When I do something, I do it right. Haha. |
