My apologies for douche canoeing as I was just trying to determine the parameters for the BIY.   If every industry partner posted up pics of their builds from the factory, well....you get the idea. You guys have a complete forum dedicated to illuminating us AR junkies with gun porn

Uhhh.....  Pretty sure he built that.  Like, literally built that.  Do you assemble bro?

Does a construction crew make all the parts to a building? No, they get the parts and build the structure with premade parts.
Then the building fairy goes and sprinkles pixie dust on them.

Left to right
PSA Lower
Aero Blem Upper
SOTA M4 Profile 16" barrel
BCM BCG
Vortex Strikefire
front and rear Magpul MBUS
Parallax Tactical 13.5" M-Lok Rail
Magpul MVG
MOE Grip
MOE Stock
Ares Armor Sling

Anderson Lower
BCM 11.5" lightweight upper
No Name Quad Rail (it is a brick but it fits exactly like I want it so I can live with the weight)
Aim Sports 150 light (cheap but does what I need it to do)
Daniel Defense  rear sight
SIg STS-081 red dot (not sure if that is staying)
Pistol buffer tube that came with my SB-15
Thordsen Buffer tube cover and cheek saddle
ALG ACT trigger (not pictured)

KISS/Parts gun
PSA upper and lower
A2 Style rear sight
PSA quad rail
M4 Stock
A2 Grip
It ain't pretty but runs well and it weighs next to nothing and was built from left over parts
Last week I discovered I was a barrel and a buffer tube away from another rifle so of course I had to buy a barrel and a buffer tube right?

Now I have a bolt catch, M4 hand guards and a mil-spec trigger sitting in my parts bin..... I'd be crazy not to build another one right?

Radical Firearms upper 16" with Seekins Precision forearm

Bushnell Custom red dot
BCM buffer tube
80percentarms.com lower
CMMG lower parts kit

The lower was easy to put together, but I didn't realize how reflective their anodizing was until I took this pic. Without the flash, the lower matches the other FDE parts. Their Universal Easy Jig made finishing the lower a breeze, and it only requires a router. It shoots pretty well. I put about 150 XM195 through it this morning, and it was shooting 2-3 moa all day long. At that point I'm inclined to believe it's the ammo since that's about all I could get out of my work rifle with that ammo. With some better ammo, and maybe some 65 grain, it should tighten up nicely. The sight has held zero through two trips to the range and some "abuse" this morning. I banged the rifle around some to see how it'd hold. It held, and it's bright enough to see in daylight. Picked it up from Gander Mountain on a price glitch in their system around Christmas. (Seriously bought it with a $50 gift card and still picked up some ammo. I think it's like $80 now.)

All I have left to add is a sling, some backup sights, and some rail covers so there's some FDE up front to balance out the color some.

First time posting, long time reader. Here's my colt build I've just recently finished. Just started a spikes pistol build I will post later. Thanks to everyone for all the input I've read to help me complete this rifle.

Colt le6920:
Kac ras
Geissele ssa
Magpul moe+
Magpul enhanced trigger guard
Grippod
Magpul ctr stock
Kac micro 200-600m buis
Trijicon ta31-ch with larue lt100 qd mount

This build assembly is 90% done.

Lower:
Spikes forged lower
PSA MOESTR  LBK (plan to go to an ambi selector switch)
Spikes Tactical NiB battle Trigger with JP reliability enhanced springs
Magpul STR stock

Upper:
PSA forged Upper
Mas Defense 8.5" 1:8 Nitride barrel in 300 BO
Mas Defense steel gas block and pistol length Gas Tube
Midwest Industries SS 9" free float rail (first generation)
Mapul AFG
Magpul mbus front sight (rear sight just purchased from the EE)

The silencer is a form 1 built using an SD Tactical solvent tube, steel end caps, and muzzle brake.  B&P Tactical north of Denver did some work on the brake to get it to clock correctly on the shoulder of the barrel with no shims.

I had a local sign company print some vinyl stencil for me.  Paint is an acryllic model paint (tamiya) that I applied via airbrush.  Once the paint has been on there for a month or two, I'll hit it with a little Krylon Maxx flat clear

To finish this rifle, I am planning to run a PSA premium BCG and AXTS Raptor charging handle (the picture has a NiB Palmetto premium BCG and Raptor installed that I borrowed from another build).  Eventually I will add optics.  I have been planning to run a 1-4 or 1-6x scope with a burris fast fire on an offset mount.

Thanks, I appreciate that.  When I was pulling the stencil, I had gotten to the point where I was just going to drop it all in an acetone bath, but glad I didn't give up on it.  I'm looking forward to finishing it and putting some rounds through it.  Spent some time sorting brass tonight to do some handloads with.

Stopped by the local Cabelas and they had a Burris LRS 1-4x x 24 scope in the bargain cave.  Couldn't pull the trigger on it because I want the rifle functional and the mbus will allow me to test function and do some load testing.  Sometimes restraint is the most difficult part of putting together a rifle of your own creation.

I had a bunch of parts come together and decided to piece this upper together.

It is made of a URX2 10.75 with a chopped 11.5" Noveske 300BLK barrel which was originally 16.  I also put a Voodoo BCG in it and will be function testing 23FEB2015.  It will be run suppressed exclusively.

I'm trying to decide what optic to get for it.

Decided a while ago I wanted to try a FSB cutout on a Noveske NSR-11.

This is how it ended up.  I know the barrel threads are not cut but that will be changing soon

The upper receiver this is built off of is going to be used in a later build which involves a KAC E3 barrel and BCG, URX 3.1 in 10.75, and some VLTOR parts on the Noveske lower I've got coming.

It should be a fun rifle to shoot after it's finished.

I wanted to start exploring more accurate rifle marksmanship, beyond what I normally engage in, which I kind of describe as "minute of badguy," where if I can get a hit on target at _____ distance, I am happy.  I wanted a rifle that could approach 1 MOA, from the prone.  I used a BCM 11.5 pistol build I had done, which I no longer used, as the base for the project, and then I tortured myself and my friends until I had deliberated at length on how to go about it.  What follows is a short list of parts that went into the build, minus of course whatever omissions are noticed.

I am very happy with the results.  Shown is a 100m prone group, using 77gr Federal Gold Medal Match factory ammo.  I am hoping to make some handloads that can either match or beat this group.

Hmmm...

Well...

Build quality? Weight? Looks?

Love it.

Actually mounting a scope with the damn thing?

Hate it.

The issue is that bottom mount screws and hook/groove top will rotate the scope a touch when you apply proper torque to the mount. It's takes some time to get it right...and it's kind of frustrating truth be told.
