Well, my project designed to save me money inflated into a cash hog.  Oh well, I'm thrilled with the results.  Sorry for the weak photos; I should send my rifle to stickman so he can take some proper shots .  The receiver isn't nearly as gold as it looks in the first shot, and the rail is definitely more dark earth than in the second.

The only issue I encountered in building this was with the TI BDX15 lower.  In designing their lower for cosmetic appeal, a portion of the lower receiver restricts the movement of the bolt catch.  I had to modify the bolt catch so it would engage/retain the bolt on an empty magazine.  Thanks to Bastion (I believe) for the tip on that.

I sent them an e-mail that probably went directly to the trash expressing my disappointment in putting form over function––and then providing no notice that there was a problem with their design accepting mil-spec parts.

ETA: I've got a Cav Arms FDE lower that I'll throw it on for some pics when I get the LPK installed.

Looks good, need better pictures before I can judge on the upper.

Its too bad you cant get that lower and the ejection port door in the tan. Im not a big fan of the multi color stuff.

That mega upper sure did look shiny and sexy though.............I just bought a handfull of mega uppers and lowers

I'd love to get a complete AR that is the same color as that first shot. Bling Bling.

I was too late on the lower, they didn't have any available at the time of order, and no plans to produce more.

I didn't put any color on the upper.  It's anodized "FDE."  It's the same color as the FDE EOTechs.  The rail is the Daniel Defense version of FDE.  All the colors are from the factory; no duracoat.

what trigger guard is that?

according to the TI website that's their "winter" integrated trigger guard.  looks like a nice lower.  the vertical grip isn't really my cup of tea, but it looks like a great build!

Aesthetically speaking, I hate the thing too.  From a functional perspective it works well for me.  I'm a lefty so my right hand gets beat up by ejected brass when I grip the front of the mag well.  I basically use the VFG in the same manner.  The position it's at now also allows me to easily activate the light w/ the clickie tail cap (I'm not a fan of tape).

I'd love to trade it out for a stubby.  Looks like a donkey dick hanging down off the front :)
