Ive purchased an upper with the AA Lite system, without a rail on the gas block. Ive looked at rail options, but like the weight savings of the Magpul furniture, and was wondering if the railed gas block would be a better solution for mounting a front sight.

The main reason I ask is I want to make sure that the blocks' angles are the same so I don't end up causing op-rod wear because they aren't the same.

Anyone have experience with changing these block out?

Thanks in Advance.

Spoke with Sales at Adams Arms, and the answer is yes. The Gas blocks sit at the same height, and can be used interchangeably.

Thanks!

I have the railed gas block on my SBR with the new Magpul handguards. I had to do a small amount of trimming to get it to fit correctly. Used a normal handguard front cap. Works fine.
