I am currently considering buying a Faxon ARAK 21 with a 12 inch barrel. I like it due to the ar ak hybrid system that it uses. I would like to know if anyone here has some first hand experience with the ARAK. I would like some specific insight into the left eject capability, and any quirks the system has. I would also like to know if it is a robust design that can endure abuse yet still remain functional.

I have one I made into a bullpup with the 16" barrel and another one I am still working on for 300blk. Mine ejects from the right side so I am no help there but it has run faultlessly.

We won't step in to answer the questions and let users share their truthful experiences.

That said, we stand behind the product 100%. if you ever have an issue, we fix it or make it right.

We hope that we can be of service.

I have an Arak21 and like it. I've only gotten to shoot it once due to limits on my time and finding a decent place to put it through its paces. It's heavier than an AR15, but that didn't phase me. I had zero malfunctions.

As for an SBR, the only thing I would say is that because of how the gas adjustment knob is set up, you probably can't go any shorter than the factory 12" barrel. You need at least that much space to get the knob out, and any shorter I think the muzzle device, probably ANY muzzle device, would block it. I could be wrong, maybe Faxon can advise?

So as long as you're OK with that, yeah, go for it. I have not shot a short one yet, haven't gotten around to my stamp. When I do it'll be for a suppressor host, I don't see myself shooting it without one.

Also I'm right handed and can't help with the LHE function. Good luck.

We can get down to 11.5", but have opted to stay at 12.5" to ensure 100% reliability.

Reliability was first in our design criteria and we will not sacrifice it.

There you go. Point of order...That's 12.5 without the muzzle device, yes?

Can someone tell me who is the manufacturer of the bullpup lower pictured above?  Are there any companies who make this, or is this the sort of thing people do at home with a 3D printer?

I ordered my ARAK 21 upper just over a week ago. So I have nothing to report........yet. I must ask 908ssp to stop showing off that wonderful bullpup lower he made. It is just 2 pretty. So after months of online research, I pulled the trigger and ordered mine. Went with ambi set-up in OD with two 5.56 barrels and one in 300 AAC. I just wish Faxon Firearms would consider just a few things, that I (and perhaps others) would love to see you make. First an ARAK 21 (not 31) 18 inch barrel. That would be cool. Second a linear comp version with Muzzlok. Third but perhaps biggest on the list, get 908ssp's bullpup lower and start making them (or another bullpup lower). Just a few ideas. For now I will just wait for my ARAK to ship.
